Hello fella, trust you are well! Well done on the much deserved win. Loving the engine bay with all the gold fittings. so, worth the entrance fee just to get a free wash !
Flames are shooting outa my car! You mean you get a burning sensation when you accelerate? No, fire shoot out my exhaust, is all.. I was lucky to take this picture at the right moment of a Dutch Countach 5000 S racing at Circuit Assen in 2009. Many more pictures and many more Countachs are to be found on www.countach-register.com check it out! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great photo's! Always nice to see a Countach being driven and enjoyed instead of just being parked for investments. Would love to know wich VIN this is, Cheers, Marcel www.countach-register.com
Very nice LP400 in auction (Gooding & Company- Geared online, October 26 to 30, 2020)... https://www.goodingco.com/vehicle/1975-lamborghini-countach-lp400-periscopica/
Pretty color, but it was originally the slightly darker Blu Metallizzato, also pretty, it currently exists in the lighter shade of Blu Tahiti. The interior was originally Tabacco which is the rich reddish-brown that is a classic for the LP400, now it is a shade of tan, also, the interior was redone to non-original pattern and specification.
That was my exact reaction, too. A (sad) throwback to the mid 1980s when a pair of 6"x9"s were the ultimate in car audio...
It's sad to think that any audio would be listened to in these cars other than the V12 band playing behind your head.
The paint color and the non-original interior can all be corrected in the full restoration it deserves.
In the UK, Iain Tyrrell is a good choice to maintenance/restore Countaches and other classic Lambos... Image Unavailable, Please Login Interesting article here ... https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/magazine/iain-tyrrell-classic-cars-british-eccentricity-with-an-italian-heart/
He is highly rated for sure. But only once choice for me, the Godfather of UK Countach maintenance is Mike Pullen from Carrera Sports. Imho. Also, Mike is a lot nearer to me than Iain's shop
Are you able to provide a website or contact details for Mike? I have a Countach in the UK which will undoubtedly require maintenance at some stage!
Hi Dean, Mike is really old school, so does not have a web site. Phone only and if he's busy working then you leave a voice mail! Contact is +44 1444 455100 His shop is based in Haywards Heath, not too far from Brighton. Tell him that Rob Archer sent you, he'll double your price !
Nice fall drive. iPhone photos, however a professional photographer flagged me down while doing a couple shot, lol. When/if he sends them I’ll post some. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
