The LP500 never had 15 inch rims. This is detailed in the well known feature in Style Auto magazine as well. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Ok, spoke, via Whatsapp group to the new owner, called Richard. He said he’s keeping it black, but changing the interior from black to ivory. So now we know! R

LP 400s sold for 432,500 eur all in: https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/jg21/the-guikas-collection/lots/r0051-1981-lamborghini-countach-lp400-s-by-bertone/1074532
not really...both these cars (1121102 and the red S2 ) will be half a million euro or more when all that is needed is done, all books and tools put toegether with the car etc. they are good cars but not perfect
Is that "all in"? I don't think so. Net price 800k plus fee = 905k but the fee probably is subject to (French?) VAT (20%?) which would mean that "all in" might be 926k.
That was a soft auction generally. Everything was without reserve, and 65% of cars sold below low estimate, but the 2 Countach sold above high estimate. None of the cars had much investment recently - they had been bought and then stored without work. I thought results were decent in the circumstances
Yes, see the Downdraft thread, I posted the carbureted QV's Italian Homologation papers on Page 1 https://lamborghinichat.com/forum/posts/144273801/ & https://lamborghinichat.com/forum/posts/144273804/ Those are the FIA Homologation papers for the carbureted QV.
In May 2013 during the 50th Anniversary of Lamborghini some members of the Lamborghini Club Italia had a nice meeting in the old centre of Sant Agata. This lovely bianco 5000 S CLA12503 was owned by the president of that club. I took this picture with the little kids peeking through the window to see how fast it goes! Just like I did when I was a kid, just love it! Not sure VAT was applicable. As the auctioneer mentioned on lots if VAT was applicable. Not mentioned for either Countach.
Thank you for that information. RMS says on its website: "For Motor Car Lots: In the event of a final Hammer Price of €200.000,00 and below on all motor car lots, RM Sotheby’s (“RMS”) will receive a Buyers’ Premium of 15% (plus VAT on the Buyers’ Premium). In the event of a final Hammer Price above €200.000,00 on all motor car lots, RMS will receive a Buyers’ Premium of 15% (plus VAT on the Buyers’ Premium) on the first €200.000,00 and will receive a Buyers’ Premium of 12.5% (plus VAT on the Buyers’ Premium) on the Hammer Price above €200.000,00." With this info, you are able to calculate the net premium of 105k€ (VAT not included) for that LP400. Following that information, VAT should be added. But who knows. BTW, RMS itself indicates 905k€ as final price and so does "Hammer Price", i.e. without adding VAT.
yes there is VAT on the buyer’s premium element on all lots. ie vat on the 20 or 15% amounts you refer to. Not on the sales price itself. However, in addition to this, some uk cars would have VAT added to the car element of the total price if exported to Europe (post-Brexit). The VAT wouldn’t be added to gavel price if car stays in UK, but VAT would still be added to the buyer’s premium. euro registered cars staying in europe won’t attract vat on gavel price, only on buyer’s premium In all cases, the premium is a % of net sales price. RM/hammer price shows the net sale price and the net buyer’s premium. Doesn’t account for VAT on either, even where applicable Hope that’s clear(ish)! PS… Hammer Price app has option in settings, to include premium or not in price displayed
Agreed mostly, the distinctly different variants of the Countach have values that are always in a state of flux as with most cars, some are softening, some are staying the same, some are going up, from what I have seen in the past few years (and have pointed out elsewhere), LP400 auction values are here https://www.classic.com/m/lamborghini/countach/lp400/ so the sale of 1120110 brought them back in the right direction a bit, LP400S auction values here https://www.classic.com/m/lamborghini/countach/lp400-s/
