Countach, the ultimate supercar

Interesting enough that someone tried to read the VIN at the left windscreen corner, somewhare in Arabia obviously

 

Digging out this old topic, there was one 5l in verde abete to Switzerland, never seen this car:
DLA12640 1983 Verde Abete Rosso #554, 31.10.1983

There is a car spotted in UK, which could be 1438 -color combo wise it fits, although Maurice' description says it's a 5l, but can't be clearly said from the pictures.

Thanks for this link, very nostalgic for me, for some reason there was a magic when you saw an Italian super car on the street in the 80’s and when you saw a Countach it was very very special. Not sure whether it’s because I’m older or modern super cars are more plentiful but It seems like that sense of occasion is gone.

 

I understand how you feel, though certain cars still excite me if I see them “in the wild”, the Countach being one of them. I do think a lot of it has to do with age as well. Much like Christmas isn’t as exciting as it used to be through the lens of a child. What may excite younger kids today may not do it for us, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I know little boys and teens get very excited when they see a modern Ferrari or Lamborghini, and that’s ok.

Which one is Joe’s new car?

 

I agree.. no sense of occasion with modern exotic cars.. i think mostly because they are so mass produced and common. They are not hand made, with blood and tears anymore. Add to this the current throw away mindset and fact that common electric cars are just as fast. I think the bygone era cars will Always be special.
