Love this, this man has an incredible collection, but guess what his favourite car is?? Scroll to 26.20 ""
A few new variants. The ultra rare 5000s qv dd & low body 5000s fuelie On a more serious note - interesting what is laying around gathering dust.
This video highlights the abuse which so many Countachs have been subjected to over the years, and the misinformation about them that continues to be put out about them. Hopefully these 2 will be rescued and restored to original by someone.
Oof, modern times I guess. Seems very strange to me to go out and modify a Countach in this day and age, but I guess it will pay for itself through YouTube views and ad-income. They will most likely hit the limits of the chassis pretty quickly, if they only want to throw in a newer V12. But better than gathering dust in a garage
would be interesting to know the chassis numbers white car seems f...ed up A LOT! hope someone put some efforts in restoring both...probably not
Lm002 engine in the white one? Could explain the custom deck lid, a dd deck lid would not work on a LM002 swap. (Engine is taller IIRC)
I think its quite funny that most people (mostly based in USA) believe the mileage which the odometer reads...At least in Europe, so many cars got clocked during their lifes. You need a lot of info, knowledge to verify if its actually correct or not
True. By the way, these are not barn finds at all as described in the video which was filled with an embarrassing amount of erroneous information, the 2 Countachs are well-known props stored in the studio of the TV Show Counting Cars in Las Vegas. I think this is a universal issue, not just in the USA, and yes, it's easy to corroborate mileage if you have records from day one or know what to look for on the car itself.
25th engine in a LP5000s which has also some LP400s pieces like the S2 flag mirrors, non standard window levers and a small exhaust muffler, looks like Frankenstein, stitched together from various series.
The white car was originally Black/Red 1983 5000S, I have the VIN somewhere, my father sold it years ago to Danny Koker's father. The Nero car belonged to a Boeing exec when new, 2,000 miles and STUNNING condition in the 1990s when he sold it to the Koker family. A Lamborghini USA fuel injection car delivered new Nero on Nero, no wing and silver wheels. The Koker family installed side skirts, front wing and other unique parts during their ownership.
John, can you confirm that the black one is 5000 S #ELA12736 Iniezione the white one: 5000 S #DLA12615 Obviously both are not at all barn finds as mentioned in the video.
Got email about the Lamborghini Registry. Went to have a look, but appears to view data you now have to subscribe and pay. Used to be free access, seems a shame that it's now been monetized.??? R
