Indeed, 1121048 was originally Bianco with Senape, photographed ready at the factory by Dr Gene Boston on April the 26th 1979 picked up his S1 1121034, he was told by Sgarzi it was going to Rod Stewart, but apparently he did not take the car and on the 14th of May 1979 it went to Tony De Fina in Australia, where it was later seen registered ALB 686 in Perth, Australia.

It could use a return to it's fabulous Bianco livery, correct mirrors, and perhaps most importantly, correct ride-height since it's a Lowbody.

Could be. But the barn picture shows what looks like a chrome bezel/grill. But then again, could be lighting. I don't know nearly as much with Miuras

  14. I guess they could have moved it over to the spot with a jack & the suspension has not settled. It does have the gear shift in place & the exhaust on.

I have seen a couple countach’s that look like they must have had their rear springs changed. There’s a bianco perlato one I have seen on social media that has the rear raised quite a bit over stock. I have also seen a black one with the same problem. It must make the Countach handle quite a bit different. The engine is already mounted pretty high in the chassis. So I can just imagine raising the rear would make it more pronounced.

The engine is in the car.

It simply has springs that are too tall, the same ones that have been circulating for 15 years plus that owners were told would settle, but will never settle.

Exactly right, on the limit the handling is compromised at best and dangerous at worst, plus the cars look silly with a jacked-up rear end.

I know, that's exactly the point, the height is so wrong it looks like it's not in.

Ah I understand what you're saying now, yes, you are correct.

TBH even the front of the car is too high - an original spec S1 1121026 in the early days.

Do you already have one? If so why not just have it rewrapped?

Thank you for your note. I have since found what I am looking for.

To answer your question, nothing beats the originals. I have never seen a re-wrapped “Personal” Countach shift knob that looks anything like the originals.

Perfect. Just the green reflection from the glass. For some reason just works for me. My first Countach ride was in this color combo
