i personally dont think its not bad in terms of color. Yes its not original... But so long as the work looks good and clean, I wouldnt mind especially if you drive it and afterwards change the color back...
Meh--to a philistine like me, they all end up in the same color families (red:burgundy, gray:silver). Put me on a cross for liking it. lol
As I said already: "Nice paint color", and then added fairly & accurately "although non-original". No need to crucify you, I appreciate the color too! However when discussing the liveries of limited production sports cars, you're going to have to be a little more precise than describing burgundy as red, or dark gray as silver! If a seller described a car he was selling you as silver/red and you showed up and it was dark gray/burgundy, well... you see my point. Descriptive accuracy is important when discussing amongst fellow enthusiasts.
Oh--I disagree w/ nothing you said. I was using very broad terms. I know NOTHING about the specific interior/exterior colors of these cars--I'm here to learn and absorb. The various color names make my head spin. One day this hopefully will stop happening. Of course the accuracy in describing every nuance of these cars is critical--seems like each one is unique since there were so few of them.
this is one of very few 5000S in luci del bosco looks awesome, to me this is the most appealing 5000 i have seen :-o (thinking ...can i get an other?? ...mmmmh) p.s. it is not cheap, asking 150k euro (that is pretty hi for a 2V 5 liter) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
original silver is a good color for the LP400 and countach in general : it show the line like few others
No not photo-shopped. That is a real livery on an LP400 at the production period, delivered to the Middle East. This was the 70s, remember?
yes, and sure is not the only countach with a wild livery (pink 5000S comes to my mind) still is strange they paint the sills under in orange when new do you know the VIN, Joe?
Here is the model dedicated to this famous car... I will have to review my notes for the chassis # Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have a whole range of images of this car and I cant find them - except for this interior shot. I promise to try & dig them up. Anyway, it was made for a Middle Eastern Prince and he wanted a special red-and-white livery, red 'shag' carpeting, red mouse hair dash.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Emilio this is a sister car to yours, very early car, I am told it is 1121004, but I cant verify that. Note the bodywork with the fenders and wheel arches as one unit.... in Japan. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Speaking of Japan, I understand they have a great Countach Driver's Club that meets regularly!
