personally i am not sure he will kick himself in the balls for not having sold it at 315k$

it is an LP400....it is one of the biggest icons on classic lamborghini...is it worth nothing? i do not think so

these things are "the holy grail" for not few lambo passionates, to some these are more appealing that the miura SV

the price the 400GT sold for could be seen as a proof that the real classic lambos are not going to be cheap in the future

this is not the best LP available but this is also not a good time to sell a car ....may be it will take 3 years or so but there will be better times to sell for him (imo)

p.s. this said, i am with you hoping that they will come back to 100k$
so we could both buy one to keep with the other italian cars

First of all, i only read few pages and from what i can read, it's one of the best forum dedicated to Lamborghini, congrats!!

As you're talking about Lamborghini model cars, i can perhaps help you if you're looking for some specific models, i actually have a collection of 1124 models and arround 450 to 500 Countach in all scales

I will try to participate to this forum with why knowledge on Lamborghini (20 years member of the French Lamborghini Club), i'm not yet owner, i just have a "book and passenger" vision of this cars, but i think seriously to sell my collection to get one! I'm affraid, it will not be a Countach, but an Espada, Urraco, Jalpa or jarama, let's see what will be the best for me
If you have some advise for me, i will take them!

yes, we talked about some countach models
i'd like to see your LP400S models if you can post pics

you will find specific threads on V8, jarama and espada (we have the jarama registry owner posting on F chat to with a LOT of precious infos on these cars)
before you will go this route: prepare your wallet.... the big ones come with expensive service bills

p.s. are you Guillame? the guy that i dealt with for jarama parts?

Regarding the Jarama, the engine is another time out... same problem each time...

I have started to read the tread on the Espada of course and i know Ferry 400 (not in person, but on forum) I will continue to explore!

Of course, i will take the maximum of information before to buy the big one! That's why i'm open to different models. But first, i need to sell my collection and it's not a easy decision to take... After that, i will be abble to put arround 25k€ into the car in order to keep money for he first troubles

If you become a subscribed user (as little as $15 US) you can advertise them for sale in FerrariAds. There are policies regarding non-sponsors promoting things for sale in threads. Be careful with that or the mods will give you the boot.

I think so: great cars, low production numbers. There are some very expensive cars with higher production figures: 300SL, F40, Daytona - these are all great cars which are worth the money - so nobody discusses about their value. Why do we always discuss the values of our Lamborghini cars? Why should a rare old legendary car like a Miura or a Countach be worth less than a brand new mass-produced car ?

I believe that very expensive cars go thru several stages before become very expensive collector cars. (1) As said, first they are usually expensive and that said, are purchased by people with large disposable wealth or incomes...and equally disposed for the "next" thing to have or be seen in. (2) Next owner is looking for a deal and buys at a discount...usually could not afford car new. (3) 3rd - 4th owner is probablly someone that picks up the car relatively cheap compared to new...several years or more down the line, when it's yesterdays car for sure and not many wealthy people would care to be seen in one at their favorite restaurant, etc. (4) Here's where it becomes interesting...if the car is truly a collector machine, wealth will find and embrace it again...once this starts to happen and it happens fast sometimes, these cars can not only rise in value, but usually when people, again with large disposable wealth, view the car as collectable, then it's at the final stage and the normal enthusiast is left with only memorys...and very little hope of owning one again.

I think so, too, whatever will be the value. Both cars have identical historic significance, even the production number is the same.

 

Usually people like to find "one-ower cars", why is this?

one-oner cars are usually those cars kept in carage and owners think their car as "just that old car, no big deal"

I my self like cars that have many owners. Every new owner makes extra service to car and don't think car as "my usual car" that can be driven daily. If there are bad owners in history, this is compesate by few good owners. What if that "one-owner" is that bad owner "burnt couple of cloutches this sommer and three sets of tyres"?
