Another thing I would like to point out, is that Albert Silvera is often referred to (on the Registry and other places) as Alberto Silveira. That's incorrect. It is Albert Silvera.

BTW the I am looking for information on the life of the late Albert Silvera (LC3929, you know why!). From what I have gathered thus far, he is most known for owning the El Rancho Hotel in Port Au Prince, Haiti (which is still owned by his daughter). I have also read that he was a double-agent during World War II and was accordingly well-connected. During the 50s and 60s, his El Rancho Hotel was the hot destination for jet-setters worldwide, before the country fell into its current situation.

I was told by Claudio Zampolli that any time he would arrive at the factory to collect one of his special-order cars, he would be accompanied by a woman so breathtaking in beauty that the entire work force would stop to stare! He also pointed out that prior to Silvera's arrival, Ferruccio would go down to the delivery area, roll up his sleeves, and proceed to personally polish Silvera's new car just as he walked in! Ferruccio always had a flair for showmanship aimed at effect. Obviously Silvera was good for business!

I would appreciate any information on the life of this dyed-in-the-wool Lamborghinisti...

It's a stunning car indeed. This photo is probably taken before it was painted lighter blue, I suppose. It's from a factory 3-D set.

Thanks for sharing, but this is 1121002, NOT 1120202, and this car (1121002) stayed the deep dark blue used on his Formula One cars, much darker than even the original dark blue of 1120202. 1121002 is still is dark blue till this day. This pic you posted was made upon the car's return from Dallara, with rear wing mounted, Willans belts fitted, Lockheed brakes substituted, engine tuned etc but before the Wolf logos were attached, pre-delivery.

Here is 1121002 post-delivery with logos...

Yes, this should be #1120124, I have in my files that the car was auctioned in France before it went to Holland as well. Thanks for the pictures!

    Ciao!

Sure looks like it Joe, sure a bit darker then it is now.
It also had all white signal turning lenses at that time.

    Ciao!

Thanks for the correction. It was actually adorned with the Wolf logos in the photo - here's a better angle.

I keep insisting... a car like #1120062 - as an example - has black winders and a car like 1120270 - again as an example - has chrome winders and everything else would astonish me - but now we are turning to another topic, see my next post...

All white is Italy I think,
and The Swiss has them reversed, with the orange side on the inside

#1120202, fom the book by Serge Bellu.

    Interesting are

    a) the colour - see Joe's post (to me it looks quite dark)

    b) the air vents below the windshield - one of the aforementioned changes during the LP400 production run.

Please compare #1120286 and its air vents. Or #1120192. Both had the new type of air vents, while the old cars like #1120012 and #1120082 had the old type.

Fantastic car! Nice picture! Even now in 2009, after all these years and after seeing many many of millions trillions worth of exotic cars, a Countach ;-) still is the ultimate exotic dreamcar!!!

1120056 has the old type, so yes, this is a consistent observation...

There it is... just as #5076 is my idea of the "perfect" Miura, #1121002 is, IMO, the perfect Countach. Thanks for posting guys, just magnificent.

Interesting. This car was the car owned by a paraplegic. Never saw an interior photo of it.

this is a great shot of 1121002,

flat roof, Vin, flares and all, i think it could be safely considered the first serie uno S car and also the most interesting of them all
