Silver is one of the top 3 colors on a Countach. It has grown on me tremendously. orange (more on the lp400) blue silver
It's not, In 1978 the dark blue WW LP400s was on display, to it's left a P300, and behind an Espada. It's from 1979 Geneva show, left of that red CT was a red silhouette, to it's right a P300 and again behind an Espada. Pictures can be found in Serge Bellu's Book Lamborghini - year by year page 223-227.
LOL. That's it! Clockwork Orange. There, a solution to 0056's color identity crisis between Rosso Dino and Rosso Speciale at last. Thank you
Not to hijack, but... I wonder, after the Clockwork Orange Adams Probe 16 was outvoted on Top Gear's Restoration Ripoff by Paddy Hopkirk's first Cooper Mini, was it ever restored?
This would be Clockwork Orange. Compared to the Boxer anyway! Which by the way looks so ordinary next to the Countach. What did Jose Rosinski say about it in comparison? I forget now... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was referring to the film A Clockwork Orange and the car used in certain scenes, not the color. I've moved the discussion to a dedicated thread in General Automotive to avoid further hijack here. ... and yes, the Berlinetta Boxer's styling was almost pedestrian next to the Countach.
Called the Durango 95 in the movie "Clockwork Orange"...I believe there were a couple originally built as the "Probe 16" by Adams Brothers.

Chassis number 1120088 New to Prince Bandar bin Saud of the Saudi Arabian Royal family. To noted New Hampshire Ferrari collector Terry Bennett. To noted Ohio Ferrari collector Tom Stegman. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A more comprehensive history: The car was ordered through Lamborghini concessionaire Ageco, and it was completed April the 11th, 1975 at the Sant' Agata factory. Adjustable suspension and original factory sport exhaust fitted. Delivered new to Prince Bandar Bin Saud of Saudi Arabia, it remained within the Royal family for the first few years of its life. Enter noted New Hampshire Ferrari collector Dr. Terry Bennett, who acted as a private physician for the Saudi Royal family in the mid-to-late seventies. At the end of his tenure in Riyadh, the family knowing his passion for cars, bestowed "1120088" upon him as a parting gift (!), and ensured that it was on a Boeing 747 bound for JFK. I spoke to Terry Bennett last year and he clarified that although the build sheet suggested that the original livery was to be black, His Highness had the car finished by the factory in its current "Amaranto" color - the only LP400 known to be thus liveried. This was a normal course of events at Santa Agata with VIP clients (another well-known example is the Shah's Miura SVJ which is noted in factory records as Blu Ischia, but was actually finished in Rosso Granada). Bennett sold the car to Ohio-based renowned Ferrari collector Tom Stegman, who cared for the car thereafter and showed it at numerous events in the 1980s such as what was to become the Ault Park Concours D'Elegance. At the end of the 80s he sold it to a California collector of Ferraris who had it registered there. After 20 years it has now landed in the hands of yet another Ferrari collector (obviously Ferrari collectors appear smitten by this car!) who is making it available exclusively through myself as it does not fit with his current collection. It exists with some 7,800 miles on the clock, and has recently been fully serviced and tuned. Available an attractive price, if you have an interest contact me directly on [email protected]. I once had an exchange with a fellow in Virginia on a silver (argento) series II car back in the 90's...fellow's name is James Phelan. Does anyone have any information on that car? Joe Sackey? Emilio? Bueller...Bueller?
