You should be able to get a set of replicas to the US for about $3000. One of the guy on lpowr got them. Will find him and check up on them. A set of originals, a bargain is $10,000-$12,000. No, that's a steal. The realistic price, with some sales to back it, is about $16,000 and up. One of the memebrs here or other board posted and sold a set for $17,000, which was his asking price. Anyone remember who that was?
Also keep in mind a set of Bravos are worth far more than individual ones. I still have my 2 spares because no one was willing to pay the 6k then the 4k I was asking. Glad I never sold them, they are very valuable to me.....especailly since my originals are said to crumble soon
Its interesting that Eurospares makes reproduction Bravos for the Jalpa, but I don't see anything for the Countach...... http://www.eurospares.co.uk/searchResult.asp?find=+&S=LWHE009 Mike
Intresting...so do I have any offers for my full set of extra Orginal OEM Bravo's I have here in my warehouse..?
Something odd here - I saw this car in May 2008 and it was in one piece. How has it then been in storage for 9 years and lots of pieces missing? It is clearly photographed at Carrera Sport, so should be ok, but what a strange story. Anyone know what happened to this car?
I'm puzzled as well, the number plate was on a car I've seen at a show in the last 5 years or so and it was looking fine.
By numer plate do you mean license plate or tag? Just a guess, but maybe someone is driving very similar cars using the same plate and the other car was a donner car for restoration work? Again, could be many possibilities here. This is an odd story that needs to be cleared up?
In the UK we have the registration number or number plate which is what is displayed on the front and rear of the car. Some also refer to it as a license plate. This can move from car to car and can be kept by the person or sold to someone else. Nothing to do with the VIN (vehicle identification number) that is put on the car by the manufacturer apart from when it is associated with the particular car. Sorry if that sounds complicated! I've been looking for photos of the car which I'm sure I've seen. Right, I saw the car in 2006 and it looked it pretty good condition. The rear badges were in gold colour. It was at two shows that I know of. The mystery remains.
In reality Roy, only a certain crowd, a very small crowd, will be interested. Yes, you can get big money BUT it will have to be in time. It's always when someone is looking that it is so urgent. Roy, my honest opinion is to keep them, display them and enjoy looking at them. There will be a day when someone will want them from you. Could be a week, could be a year. I have a feeling if that Bob Wallace Turdbo is bought and return to S1 standards THEN they will come after you for the set. Countachqv and I discussed purchasing that car. Owner never called me back PLUS the longer I thought, the more money it was going to take. Gotta be for a guy/girl of that 1% league to empty their pockets on it. It is just a losing deal.
Actually I'm not sure if it's staying here. The $189,000 offer came from Germany. I don't think the person here made his offer that high. I am waiting to here from the owner.
No way! That car is way too new for me. I am only interested in owning the oldies. The only late model Lamborghini I would consider would be first year Diablo.
No. The one that was for sale 2 months ago. Photos of it in the barn, with Anniversary body and gold wheels. But Jack's car is real nice.
