It looks like the opening cap for some sort of locking or release device, likely post-production application.

That time it belonged to Patrick Mimran, from 2001-2015 to me, since 2015 it's owned by Joe.

Another music video. Would have been nice to do away with that music and have 2+minutes of the car running and driving with that Kreissieg exhaust.

I agree. On Thursday the show will air on TV so hopefully we'll get some nice clips then.

I’m curious if anyone has tried these shock/springs from Eibach-Bilstein on their Countach? The last I heard was when Raymond was able to make Koni’s (from a Diablo) work on his car back in 2005.

I wasn’t aware there was now another aftermarket choice.... although I have seen a place out of Georgia called “Mr. Fiat” that has a set also.

  13. I think a few have been installed. Nsxer's red 400 has them, I think. Tony's old white dd might be another.

FWIW those are no longer on GLA12997, Chris & I both test-drove the car prior to disassembly
for restoration and we elected to go back to factory springs & Way Assauto shocks,
which we feel are better for road-use.

Very good decision, for normal raod use the way assauto are the better choice, if you drive on the track the Koni Sport are of course better, but who really pushes a QV nowadays on a track like I did 10 years back...

Yes it is an early bumper car with single colour lens but I don't know which one. If the identity of the LP400 can be established that would help greatly...

    Very cool.

This car was posted earlier in the thread.

Another Countach LP400 with quad Carello driving lamps was 1120200.

It also had fabric seat inserts.

After being converted to an LP400S, when it was restored back to an LP400 in Italy a few years ago,
    neither feature was retained.

This was LP400 #1120246 "Blu Metallizzato - Bianco", delivered new to France in 1977, and that ended up pretty badly in Montréal, Québec / Canada, in the early 80s.

Here's a better scan of the factory pic
+ another black & white shot taken at the 3rd Ronde Luronne event in France on 29-30 April 1978.
(the white papers on it are just ads about some SCATT company for car parts, for those who wonder what it was)

    Dear Countach enthusiasts,

This is with great pleasure (and quite some emotion!) to inform you that, after 7 years of intensive (almost desperate!) research, I finally found the LP400S production prototype... is still alive!!

This was a regular LP400 built during Summer 1975 that was kept and developped discreetly by the factory until early 1978.
Walter Wolf had his first "private prototype" #1120148 that Summer 1975, the Lamborghini factory had their own too!

The Countach is in good hands at the moment. Please do not PM me about it, we will reveal more in a very near future.
Oh, and it is not for sale!
    :p

Look at the second image of 1120246, only a year old and already there are dents and mismatched mirrors, in that era some of these cars were not babied, these days they are somewhat more revered.
