No only matte but quite ‘bumpy’. I imagined it must be an interim preparation phase even though the sign said due to be completed in March? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Interesting, I look forward to seeing a Polo Storico restoration up-close & personal soon. I have my reservations about this car's restoration being completed next month, I'd estimate at least another 6 months to complete, and then begin the period of post-restoration fettling if the car is to operate as well as it looks. Perhaps March was the original projected date.
Found this photo I took of a Countach casually parked in London circa 1984-85, which had literally stopped me in my tracks at the time. It was the first Countach I'd ever seen outside a magazine and appeared almost unreal parked next to those regular cars in front of it. Can't add any more info about the car (registration is SA333842, which isn't a regular UK plate) but it was great to find this image again today after it had been hidden away for many years.. I think you are right. The info said started but a long way to go still! Here’s the other photo I took looking up into the right rear wheel arch. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Nice image showing the tube frame and composite materials panels, the Countach was such a leap forward from the Miura. Nice spot and thanks for sharing, I can't tell you much about the Countach (besides the fact that it appears to be a 1982 or 1983 Blu Tahiti/Bianco LP500S), but I'm reasonably confident you spotted it on Harrington Rd in South Kensington!

This is 1120204 that Adnan Khashoggi bought for his wife in Hong Kong, through UK dealer Berlinetta Italia in 1976. The restoration is far from being complete. They put the lights, bulbs, badges, ect. on it just for the show. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations John, I think you are suffering from a bad case of Countach Fever! Is this 1121160 with engine by Franz Albert (Albrex in Austria)? https://www.lp112.com/Lamborghini/Detail.asp?Model=Countach&Version=LP400+S&ChassisNumber=1121160 Here is 1120204 below from an earlier stage in it's restoration. Showing my age - who else recalls a Gillette tv commercial I think from the 1980s featuring a silver Countach S. I can’t find it on YouTube or anywhere else. I used to get so excited when I heard that jingle ‘the best a man can get’. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Its not Gillette, but I did find this one from Turtle Wax. Note the license plate too.... the well know BR 33
Here's a period 70s FIAT Ad featuring a Countach LP400 that's not been posted here before, the Countach the most expensive car in the Ad by far @ $85,000 Image Unavailable, Please Login
