Hi Has anyone got a spare Countach rear wheel in the UK, that i can borrow to post to Italy so they can take some photographs of the preproduction test tyres? We are getting close.
I think I do (certainly got a spare front) but somewhat reluctant to lend due to their value and difficulty in replacing them?
Will be easiest for you to get one from the UK, or, Pirelli ought to source one from Lamborghini's Polo Storico in Italy, after all, I would think PS would have a vested interest in the manufacture of these new tires! Failing all of the above, let me know, I know where there are a some here in the USA that could possibly be borrowed.
What about contacting Eurospares? They MUST have something and should be interested to help given their customer base.
Yup, got both front and rear but the rear has a tyre on it, pm me. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Today is a great day, and from what I have been told privately, I know we have succeeded. Well done Dougal, as we know, if you remain positive and work hard, good things happen. The P7 is a very special tire in automotive history Image Unavailable, Please Login
Caption this one: Dear Walter, it's all true, the P7 is back! But seriously, this calls for a review. It's been 2 years and 3 months in the making from start to finish, and finally the Nuova P7 has materialized. Approximately 1,268 cars now have the original equipment their suspension was designed around, and I daresay all the cars are better for it for innumerable reasons. In making these tires, Pirelli SpA has just acknowledged how important all the variants of the parallel-linked suspension Countach are, that's huge for their future. This effort was a long & winding road but Dougal deserves all the credit due. Pirelli took some convincing, and I can say interest from the USA in distributing newly-manufactured tires surely helped tip them over the edge, sometimes a hint of a little competition makes the difference, and we can thank certain well-placed persons for their efforts in that regard. Most Countach owners were unequivocally supportive of this effort from the get-go and so the question posed by the thread's title has been decisively answered. Some took a little convincing, whilst other negative types remained decidedly skeptical as was their prerogative, stating that Countach's are rarely driven and citing the availability of alternative tire choices. But what matters in the end is that by this collectively successful effort we've shown how much we care for all these cars, and as a result, we can enjoy them more. My order is in.
Very kind of you to say, but I prefer to defer the obvious credit to Dougal who has to wholesale & distribute the new P7! My role was limited to being a positive influence publicly & privately.
