Interesting thought....maybe it will be the P7's that Pirelli will make every 10-12 years instead, or in conjunction with the p-Zero.

I think we'll find that production runs of the P7 will be in shorter timeframes than 10-12 years

Well, I got the call from Longstone today, after back-ordering a long time ago, on the back of this thread.
Hopefully will have a set delivers by Wednesday, including the 205 fronts, which will be the first time my 400S has had these fitted.
    Good news!

Great news. Be interesting to know if the slightly thinner tyre makes a difference to the steering?

Good to hear from you Rob!

It was definitely there yesterday, they must have just removed the link, perhaps they are already out of the initial supply, I have just been told of 2 separate Countach owners who have new sets en route to them as we speak, so perhaps these things are selling out like the proverbial hot cakes?

    Contact Dougal direct, he'll advise

Btw, is that asphalt inside Harry's building? I do not see that in my part of the US but I kinda like it. Always concrete slabs.

As these cars get older and generations pass, will they even bother to make them? Just unnder 2500 Countach were made from 74 to 90. How many are left? 1000-1500 maybe? Heck they wrote one off in the movie Wolf of Wall street.

Yes, Pirelli will make them, because as the cars get older they become more valuable.

I'm not sure where you found the extra @ 500 Countach, in fact @ 2,000 were made.

Given what I've learned through the years, the vast majority of the cars remain, I'd be surprised if @ 50 cars have been destroyed, and that number diminishes as the years go by as more are being rescued.

I'm not sure how you concluded that the 25th used in the movie Wolf of Wall Street was actually written off, that's apparently not the case.

And there are a few other cars that use these tyres, Lancia Stratos group 4 + Replica's, Ferrari 308 Group IV, Porsche 911 Turbo's, Renault 5 Turbo, Pantera's all adds up.

Correct, though perhaps he meant to say 'will they even bother to make them in future', to which I responded

2,049 were built. The 2500 is a type-o I meant to type just under 2100.

As far as the car used in the movie, as far as I understood the car was written off by the insurance company. However that does not mean somebody didn't fix it.

I watched the movie the other day,(last time i fell asleep) the sceen wich he is arrested outside the house, and he realizes he actually wrecked the car on his way back from the country club, shows a car with cracked rear fenders some lame wheels in awkvard angels, iow the Bodypanels on a Countach, beeing aluminum would not look anything like this, looks like a staged set up with wheels stuck in place and fake body panels stuck on to look cracked.

The Countach's original bodywork was subjected to real damage for purposes of the movie.

Meanwhile, back on track, Countach rear wheel ready to accept the new Pirelli Cinturato P7, look at it's size!
