Read post 11. Most all QV screwdrivers have no markings (from my observations). Some, like mine, say BETA on the handles, but most say nothing. Sizes and colors vary, but the length seems consistent at 8.5” (see post 64). I have seen a few screwdrivers with 6 x 125+ etched on the handles. If you come across screwdrivers that you’re considering, post some images or send me a PM and I’m happy to give you my thoughts.
The screwdriver on the left end is correct. The rest are too short and the one on the far right has the wrong size handle. Also, if you have an 88.5 car, having one translucent yellow screwdriver would also be correct. Again, read the thread from the beginning and you’ll learn a lot. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F264268691467
Regarding the vinyl bags for 5000S, QV and Anniversario variants, I do know a source that has made very good reproductions. If you’re missing, or wish to replace, your original bag, and you aren’t obsessed with originality, I’m happy to connect you. Here are some photos of them. FWIW, Here is mine, from 03-87. One screwdriver is marked "CHROM MO VAN 6". Neil Image Unavailable, Please Login
That’s a beautiful kit. It also happens to be totally intact and precisely as it should be, based on the version 2 owners manual (which would have been correct for an 87 car).
If you happen to missing a T bar (correctly referred to as a "Tommy Bar"), you can order them via ebay at: https://www.ebay.com/itm/173878956671 These 8" bars are exactly as the ones that came with both the 17mm and 19mm spanners. One thing to understand that some kits came with 12" bars (another Lamborghini nuance).
This is what I would term a “very good” kit (seemingly for a mid term production QV). While it is missing a few pieces, what is included are in excellent condition. Needed pieces: - Original gloves (the gloves pictured are Diablo/superseded gloves which are still available by Lamborghini). - Belts - One wrench (smaller) - 17mm spanner with leveler (aka, Tommy Bar) - Lifting jack spanner Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It’s worth noting, some very early 5000S cars were also known to have blue denim bags before the signature 5000S double strapped black vinyl bags arrived. Similarly, as previously mentioned, some very early QV’s sported double strapped bags prior to the customary single strap QV bags were phased in. Both are likely examples of carry over inventory (not unusual for Lamborghini from this era)
This was mine for 1121038. Amazing thread. This thread underscores the basic premise that details matter and the basic premise that ‘they are all the same’ is nonsense, something we have been at pains to share over the past 20 years.
I took this for a publication, I don't think Ive posted this here yet Image Unavailable, Please Login
