Lots of good opinions! I dont really mind the heavy clutch.. The supercars isn't the type of car you drive around town all the time anyway.. So the really issue about the ct is the clutch change? No other week points? The TR have the carrier and differential and the fuseboxes.. The countach must have some too ;)

I understand that i've really have to drive the countach.. Will do this summer.. Now its winter here in Norway..

As I reed i understand that the TR are the most resonable choice.. Like a toyota vs an Alfa Romeo.. LOL :D

Dominique and Brian are correct. The Countach does not make sense, when you park the car and go buy a loaf of bread. The Countach makes sense (and feels good), when you are shifting up and down, on a tight twisty road, at fun speeds. I actually miss the stiff clutch, from the Anniversario.

I don't remember a seeing a test with a 4valvole Countach as fast as the Testarossa which did 185mph. As far as top speed the Testarossa was faster.

I was going to wright this but this gentleman hit the bullseye in my view. I like the look of the CT but they are not very impressive drivers. I have also driven two TR's. They are stiff but a slightly better drive. I have not bought one because of the belt change requirement. If I had one I would only get a chance to drive it 4 or 6 times a year. I would stilll be forced to do belt service. Because of all the work it is expensive for such little driving. They are both impressive looking cars.

It is a great time to buy a TR in the States. The price on average was about $100k several years ago. Today it is $52k asking.

Ferrari did, by creating the Testarossa. Testarossa is as much an icon as the Countach is.

    NOPE + 1 !

The Countach is certainly, in the automotive history, the most spectacular design ever made in regard of its release date. It looked almost unreal compared to what the car industry offered at this time; way way ahead of its time ... Lamborghini made a revolutionary chassis and engine layout with the Miura and the Countach continued this revolution with an outrageous design ...

Never drove a Countach nor a Testarossa but without any doubt I would go with the Sant'Agata marvel; in fact I will eventually buy the Countach evolution: a Diablo!

    Cheers!

How can anyone sit here and say the Testarossa is not as much an icon as the Countach?

Those are the two cars that kids/teens/adults spent hours drooling over in the '80's. They both defined the '80's.

I don't think anyone could deny the TR is a terrific car. Ferrari made way to many of them and the TR was in fact a response to the Countach, not the other way around. There are simply too many of them which is why they are half the price. Ferrari has never produced a 12 cylinder mid engined car since. One is an Icon, the other is a great car.
