I had a slight return to our marques origins by driving my countach into a ditch a few weeks ago and ploughing a furrow! Slight damage to the car including a bent wheel! Ordered one via the factory and they sent one that looks like the old silhoutte wheel.
Was checking through the pics and see some early cars with a similair wheel! The parts manual only lists one wheel. Any ideas if there were variations of the wheel? I know was different on the 400 and anniversary.
Am returing the wheel to the factory but some feedback would be good!

Yes there was a wheel that was essentially the same as the Silhouette wheel and those that came on later Countachs. It sounds like you recieved the wheel that was for a S1 car.

It sounds like you got what is known as a 'Bravo' wheel. It has 5 holes that are not flush with the surface of the wheel like the later cars but stick up and out a little. If this is the case hold on to it and see if you can get more. These wheels are the holy grail of Countach rims (maybe worth about $10K a set). I suspect the wheels you are after are the smooth 5 hole wheels which should not be too hard to come by used. Try www.eurospares.com in the UK.

    Send EMILIO a pm.

He might be able to help you find what you are looking for.

He has found some enthusiasts, that special hard-to-find part.

    He is good-to-go.

    tks Ralph

yes, in this case i can help you

i can get you a pair of brand new OEM OZ front wheels for the 5000S and QV
    these are what you need

there are 5 kinds of countach wheels:

    campagnolo magnesium for LP400
    campagnolo bravo mag. for LP400S
    smooth campagnolo mag. for LP400S
smooth OZ wheels for 5000S - QV
    OZ wheels for anniversary

take note the 2 "dish" wheels look similar but are not the same and the weight is different!

beside material there are differences (the more easy is the position of valve ;) )

as for easy to get...well there are not really available original wheels for countach in my experience but the ones you need can be found

If yes, then they sell the eurospares copies since they don't have them any more since 1988...

Like Emilio wrote, LP5000s and QV bear the same wheels from OZ.

    yes, correct:
Tecnomagnesio bought Campagnolo and they produced lamborghini wheels for same time
the wheel you are selling is, i think, a magnesium rear countach wheel, same shape and material as Campagnolo for lp400S series 2 and series3...series 1 had bravo wheels

as for OZ countach wheels: they were used on 5000s and QV
they are similar but not exactly the same: the position of valve is different as well as the material on them, compared to older Campagnolo for LP400S

if you look at the pic attached of a pair of rear countach OZs, you will see the position of the valve is different
