Sorry Bruce but I think you've done one modification too far and have totally ruined the whole car. I mean I can understand all the other mods you've done, but putting the steering wheel on the left is soooo wrong!!!
As a former driver's ed car, it had controls on both sides. Maybe I should put the others back on???? (not true)
Sounds strong and looks stable. Is the Bluetooth pairing with your iPhone? Wrong section that would be the 458 or the Cali section. I really enjoy Ferrari videos on track. It's what they are designed to do and they become a completely different car.
Looks like a lot of fun Bruce. Nice job chasing down that Porsche. Was it a 996 or 997? One of these days I'm gonna have to get on the track.
Hey Bruce. I stopped by there yesterday on the way back from Barrett-Jackson. There were some Porsches and Can-Am cars on the track. Met Charlie, the track manager and he took me around in his Mustang. What a track! I asked him about bringing up my F355 and he told me that there are a few, "Star Track Days," where someone like me can get on for $175. I believe he said the next one is in March. Did you do it as a member of a club? Awesome job by the way. It looked like you were having a lot of fun. Henry
Great track, very nice people. No, I'm not a member, I just watch teir track calendar for opportunities for outsiders. I'll probably be back in March with the race car or the street car. $175 is a tremendous bargain.
If we can nail down the date in March, it might be cool to get a bunch of us that live reasonably close to join in. Charlie told me that on a typical open day they may have 35-50 cars show up, but they break it down to groups based on skill level. How many others were there the day you went? Anyone else interested in taking their car out to the track for a day in March?
Probably 30 cars. Considering we had all day, it was almost like having the track to ourselves, usually under 10, and sometimes only 3 other cars on the track at a time.
Lookalike the car is running great Bruce. Just a suggestion but I'd 'steer' away from shuffle-steering and clamp your hands at the old 9 and 3 position. If things get sideways you can end up in big trouble by not knowing exactly where straight ahead is. Rob
