Took my 355 challenge out a few days ago. unfortunately not on track but to do some shopping. I was not able to push it, rather I was limited by traffic.
The car was just out of its cambelt service.

    two things happened:
    1) on a few occasions the idle revs were around 1300 rpm. on some other around 800 rpm which I consider normal. After a bit of a more spirited few kms seems seemed to return to normal.
    2) more worryingly, at one point engine seemed to refuse to rev above 5500 rpm. As if I was hitting rev limiter. Again it somewhat cleared itself up and then no problem to explore full range.

Could it be the sparkplugs fouling a bit ? I had to drive slowly at some points at low revs. With the specific ecu of the challenge car could it be the cause ?
I am also thinking dodgy electrics ? I have noted in the past random abs lights going on and off but no CEL though. Or a fuel pump issue ? I understand the rubber goes all goey and clogs the pump.
    expert views appreciated.

I suspect that the mechanic did not follow the ECU relearning procedure properly after isolating the battery while servicing your car.

will do a search on this topic.
but my experience with other ferraris of same vintage suggests it can't have such an impact.

    Hi Thibaut

Yes could be plugs but more likely sounds like a bad connection, maybe from plugging unplugging the wire looms.

Try resetting the ECU by disconnect battery 15 min

Connect battery start car let it idle for 10 minutes then go for a little ride

    Good Luck :)
