I should count my blessings as this is the first malfunction in my 355 purchased a year ago.
Anyway with the courtesy light in the position where is goes off after the door is closed, no longer goes off. so I'm just leaving it in the neurtral off position, toggled to horizontal.

It does come on in the third or manual position, just doesn't go off in the 1st position with the forward edge pushed up.

any ideas? Looked in the door jambs and didn't see any push switches to de-activate this light.

    thanks

Do the lights on the doors go out when closed?

Also I believe there is an override switch for the dome light on the console, may want to check if you bumped that on.

True that, maybe you have accidently pressed the interior light switch. Its located right next to the gear stick, above the fuel filler flap switch.

Yep, I did this the other day while detailing the interior. You'd never know the switch was engaged by looking at it. Click it and see what happens.

Trivia - this same small light also was in my 1980 Triumph TR-8. It was in each door panel and worked the same way. that was a cool little sports car - aluminum V8, underpowered but nice torque.

Triumph fans out there will remember this car.
