That will be the next car, AM Vantage. We just picked up a new RR sport, so we have to wait just a little to pick on of those up. So right now the garage looks RR sport, f355, 4 runner.
How do you like the Evoque? What do you use it for? What do you find it lacking in, if anything? Would love to hear. I think it has an interesting look, but the interior didn't do anything for me when I saw it at a car show. Interested in how it drives and handles and how useful you find it, and for what purposes? That Aston...heaven! I love the AM V8 convertible and the DBS. And the older Vanquish.
Love it as a daily car.... I own a road construction biz so it is useful in taking clients to dine in comfort and also great at hopping curbs and driving through ditches and rough terrain on jobsites. I was told the nav system is junk ("almost unuseable" according to owners) so i went one option level below nav.... the problem is that the fully heated glass windshield (wonderful here in Canada)is full of microscopic wires (which can be seen when you look closely) and they prohibit the transmition of satellite signals....so a Gaarmin Nuvi or Tom Tom won't work!.... i temporarily mount mine on a side window for the times i need directions and that sucks. I hate glass roofs and sunroofs etc yet I wanted a well optioned car so I had to pay more for "Glass roof delete" and that sucks I come from driivng a Subaru WRX and i have several nice performing cars so i would describe the handling as way better than most sport utes including the other Range Rovers or Land Rover but not inspiring at all.... The car does react nicer in "sport" and when in Sport you can opt for paddle shifters which is somewhat amusing... if you dont shift the car will automatically shift at 7,000 rpm which is kinda cool....makes accelerating on-ramps fun....the turbo 4 is smooth with no lag and pulls steady and strong through the rev range and is a 0-60 in 7.0 flat ...not bad for a sport ute...gas mileage is alright ...hard for me to confirm accurate mileage as my WRX habits mean I always run in "sport" and accelerate like a bat outa hell...I have offroaded with it and i LOVE it!...instead of huge Range Roverish wheel and shock travel it has a rigid frame which can be exploited to run on three wheels to get over things like logs and rocks.... a whole new way to off-road that absolutely floors everyone that witnesses it...and I expect many will never get onto how to drive this car offroad correctly....incredible capabilities once you get onto how to approach obstacles... Cargo area is smallish but adequate for wifey and I and dog to carry all the neccessities for out 7 week trip to Floirda and back form Canada. The electronic terrain adjustment choices work AMAZING... asphalt, Mud and ruts, snow and ice, sand all adjust throttle response, trannny adjustment and work amazingly well....hill descent is wonderful for the hard core off roader. The interiors are available in many trims from basic to over the top refinement and class, to over the top sporty with red leather racing seats etc...you can opt for brushed aluminum or polished wood among other choices...I think the interior quality is the best I have seen in any car including Bentley.... dont know how they do it at such a cheap price point. Overall the car is a daily driver winner and I would easily pay $10,000 more for it ....but I am glad it is priced where it is...their terrific sales to date required plant expansion and hiring of additional factory staff indicate the public's opinion of this car...it is a Winner.
