Does it keep the heat down inside with it being black? It should definitely keep sun fadding and debris to a minimum. Decided to keep your 348? It's a beautiful car. I had dreams of flying out, buying it, and driving her home to VA. Sadly, I just have too much going on right now.
It definately keeps the interior cool and protects against sun damage when the car is parked in the sun. Actually, I did just sell the car!
Hey Eric, Daniel hasn't added it to his RICAMBI website yet because he had no pics and such. If you would like one for your ts (beautiful, I might add), just call Daniel to place your order - $144 is the cost - and to save time since it's so new and he doesn't have any stock yet, I will drop ship directly to you. Cheers, Hank
I know what you mean. Mine is on file too - - and as soon as I saw that Challenge wheel, I called out "send it and hit the card" Oh well, what's life about if you can't have lots of fun?
looks like an awesome idea to protect your interior from the inevitable "sticky-doom" that will occur in time IF left unprotected think i'll order one myself
I hate to be a downer because everyone seems so positive about this but why not just put the targa top on? I always thought mine was pretty easy to install and it probably takes about as much time as that top. I dont know about the spyders though .. I also have one of the folding soft targa tops, I dont know if any of you have tried those before or if they even sell them anymore. It worked OK for when the car was parked.
well in my case I'm 6'3" and there is no way I can fit the targa top behind the seats. So I need this cover so that I can go to work without the targa top and cover the car in case of a sudden rain, sun damage etc. I also happen to be one of the few lucky owners of a folding soft top, but my understanding is that they are worth 3-4K and I just have it in the closet as collateral insurance for the day I have gearbox issues
Hi Andrew, Your questions are certainly valid and I'd better have an answer for them or there would have been no good reason to develop these items. Many people who are tall, hate carrying the targa top behind them as it requires a bit of forward seat position. A shorter person doesn't care---------unless he hates carrying the bloody thing anyway The Spider Top/GTS is stowed in its own attached pouch and is much smaller than a ladie's (small) purse and weighs a whopping 9 ozs. Here is another reason for its favored acceptance and its a big one --------------- protection of the dash and all those pieces that DO get sticky very quickly when hit by the sun. Let's not even talk about trying to refurb the upper dash vents :-( If I think of more, I'll post it later........ Cheers, Hank
Hi Eric, Just to be "on the up & up" with you, in the case of sun damage to your dash, leather and carpets, we've got you "covered". Even a bit of drizzle is not a problem because our Spider Tops have a polyurethane coating on the underside. But "in the case of a sudden rain" ---------------------------- Cheers, Hank
hmm for $144 I thought it would have a full gale force winds and hurricane support garantee. I'm kind of dissapointed. Just kidding That will do fine for my purposes.
