It is low and hits ground, not uncommon. Or was it something else? Best

More often than you'd expect. Most come in after being valet parked...

Almost all have impact marks from where the car was backed into something, in turn, causing said cracks.

A reflector, so the speed bump is visible at night.

It can happen backing up into a concrete block in a parking space. The fins are just about the right height to catch it.

How would placing a reflective surface on the speed bump result in a cracked fin? I'm confused.

FWIW, Californias have the same issue. But on the front, there is just barely adequate clearance. Apparently, Ferrari doesn't expect you to back into a space that has a concrete block, and wants you to go in forwards. Don't know if the same is true with a 458.

I tapped mine while going over a ridge in a driveway...luckily no meaningful damage. However, as someone who got the front lifter, and was using it at the time, it kind of irritated me that (unlike other cars with lifters that I have...for example an S63) it only works on the front...the back needs to go over the same bump as the front! Duh.

When you have big cat-eyes on the speed bump, you hit them because they are not in front of the speed bump but just on it. While the rear tires are passing over, the rear end bottoms out and hits the highest part of the bump which is cat-eye.
