    Poking around on Bernie's site turned up the following - Pretty interesting stuff IMO.

    The last paragraph confirms the suspicion that these things have a *very* short shelf life!

    It's not clear if that includes all the (normally) unused inters & wets, but it sure reads that way!.....

    For those who want Pirelli to bring all compounds all the time, the article should illustrate why they can't....

    What is not mentioned is what Pirelli learns from the tires after they are used, or at least what I expect they learn.

    I listened to a Michelin guy talk about ALMS tires...the tires remain at all times Michelin's possessions and used tires are studied before destruction. Surely Pirelli does the same with F1 tires.

    Funny. I read somewhere a while ago saying that all unused tyres were destroyed after the race weekends.
