Im assuming that was a reply to my reply to your original post. Again, because I already have a torn up Ferrari in my garage. You sound out of your element. Calm down. Someone buying this car isn't going to hurt you.

For $30k, you can't go wrong on a clean title 1999 F355 spider F1. Take the time to fix it up and you've got a great car in the garage to cruise around in for many years to come. If you are buying simply to resell, or speculate on future value, this is likely the wrong car.

Between F355s and 993s, very few are actually driving these cars anymore which is sad, so nice to see a 60k mile example. If I remember correctly, a 200k mile 993 C4S sold a few month ago on Rennlist for $45k or so, can't imagine that car is more valuable and special than this F355.

Can you screenshot the carfax? Or paste all info? Rollback and accident is not what I consider clean...

Careful with that... Carfax can (and has) suspended personal accounts for publicly running and posting VIN reports on car forums, or for running reports on VINs that have been posted with an open solicitation for someone with an account to run a report.

None of these resources are 100% but they at least give a bit of insight on what you are buying. Better than nothing and yes, they are getting really expensive. I use autocheck for $50 25 reports for 21 days. And I use them all :)

Then dont post that, no need for anyone to get in trouble. However....an Odometer especially since its already listed at 60K is nuts

I'll bet it was a fat finger. Switching the 8 and the 0 makes the accumulation of mileage appear to make much more sense. Rolling back only 7k, as mentioned above, doesn't.

Congrats! Would love to see a photo-documented thread in the 348/F355 section to follow. If I had the space, and wasn't in the midst of another restoration project, this would have been a contender. Good luck!

Congratulations on the purchase. You seem to know your way around these cars, so you should probably be able to get it back on the road without the financial bath that some of us here would have taken. :) If you decide to throw in a manual transmission, let me know what you want for it when it's ready.

I figure for 30k lets say your serious and local, take it for a PPI at the local Ferrari indy shop or dealer, then negotiate from there.

    Better off knowing everything.

Could be a good deal in the right hands or a money pit if your unlucky and uninformed.

Mileage never scares me, lack of service history does :)

How much is belt service for a 355? or a clutch?

Received the car today. Not much time to go over it yet. Goes into reverse but no torque, does not go into any of the drive gears. I think I may know what the issue is but wont open my mouth yet until I am certain. Needs a complete interior if it were to be restored. For track use and daily driving? who cares? Red calipers. It does start and will need a major. That's all for now.

What do you guys prefer, the blue with dark or tan interior as I may have the option of replacing the interior with a used tan?

    THanks
