http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/2196783572.html Thought it might be a good buy If you need parts.....
It's worth that just for the front lenses alone if they are uncracked and in condition. The body parts could prevent an insurance company total for a fender bender.
It is intended as spares for my other car and might become wall art in the meantime. As soon as my garage is built anyway. It is a cast off from a rebody project. The seller's original intent was to "re-chassis" it. Currently working on shipping so if anyone has a hauler going from Dallas toward Chicago..............
Good Deal I am glad Some one got it, Would of hated to see something like that end up at the crusher..... I would have bought it just to part it out but I barely talked My old Lady into buying my Mondial last week so adding to the collection at this point might be a bit hard
I'm curious as to what the rest of the car ended up as. Of course here we typically take a dim view at butchering perfectly good Ferraris but I'd like to see it nevertheless. I recall a Cobra a few years ago with a 4-cam Ferrari V12 in it. Very nicely done, wish I'd have bought it.
I suspect that car became a new Norwood P4. I know I lost out on a 77 GT4 a few years back that went the same way.
Just dropped in. What happened? A slightly damaged 400 for 2K$??? Please enlighten me and share your luck, lol!
Full body but just the body ie (no wheels, running gear, elect., motor or trans). Had all panels, glass and some of the lights, also freshly painted $1000..... Seemed darn cheap to me
That is a true bargain! The lights/lenses are worth more. I love these finds. Basically the same happened to me with my 400! Sometimes other peoples headache is a treasure to the real affecionado. If I had a spare body, I'd bring it to a famous coachbuilder here for a nice convertible or even a 80's style wagon transformation. With an additional wrecked 400, my wife would not see me for a whole winter
