People should put tracking beacons on anything of such high value.

My friends band had their trailer broken into and ALL their gear stolen. Now that's bad! Fortunately they have good day jobs and were able to replace them.

If you are out there reading this...just do the right thing...give it back. I had a set of golf clubs stolen form me while I was making the turn. Nobody saw anything. Put up notices, called pawn shops, trade in stores...nothing. 3 weeks later, someone set my clubs beside my car at the same golf course...I felt better, bu I know the person who took them felt even better...Hope you get your stuff back.......

I'm 52. From ten to fourteen years old, I worked in a music store and remember all of the classic Gibson and Fender guitars and their prices. Beautiful pieces. An early 70's Les Paul went for around $325. A Fender Precision Bass was $207.50. Knowing thee instruments, I'd hate to have one ripped off.

What a shame. I can't imagine how the guy must feel losing something that was basically a part of him. I sincerely hope he gets it back. Perhaps he should have offered a "no questions asked reward"? You hate to see this POS obtain ill-gotten gains, but....

Mike - perhaps you can have this thread moved or copied to "Other Off Topic" so that
it will be publicly searchable. The very specific verbiage of the Craig's List ad
might lead a potential buyer to find the notice via Google and turn the seller in.

Read again....a nineteen FIFTY three Les Paul....modified.
    Unusual color...

As the write up says, he'll get maybe $300 in Pawn, for an instrument worth $5K or so (guessing)...

Sadly, any degenerate who would steal something like this will also lack the character to return it.
