Well, I just ordered about $350. in goodies from summit, to wit: two ignition trigers, two hot coils, a set of hot plugs to help get the smog done, (then i will do the good plugs), as well as two crane parts kits to do the conversion, and a set of taylor wires and wire guides. I'll post the specific part numbers and prices when I see the results. I still think the problem is in the carbs, but, (AS LONG AS WE ARE IN THERE DOING THIS, WE MIGHT AS WELL AS.....)

This car is really getting to be an intense re-education into automotive mechanics, especially for a 56 year old phat phugger.

    I LOVE IT!!!

My best to you guys twisting the wrenches. I am having a great time,

    chris

I am having a time with mine as well. With the 308 as car #30 for me I have found it interesting to learn the design philosophy behind the various cars of different nationalities. Some sensible and some quite rediculous.

I'll take the design of my 308 over my old Triumph or MG anyday.
