Of course not. AFAIK replica is derived from replicate and the pity object displayed doesn´t even make a serious attempt to replicate the visual appearance of a boxer.

It's probably a demonstration of the Einstein's theorems. This car has been going faster than light and suffered a contraction in the direction of movement. Probably

You should not generalize like that, I too did not start off with lots of money, but I don't blame others for that. I worked hard and got to where I am today.

The fact that you only make 38k a year is no ones fault or anything to be ashamed of.

By the way your car looks fantastic and I would probably own one myself seeing that a real countach is out of site for my near futur.

Don't let a few bad remarks make you base your opinion on the rest of the world.

Alot of us are in the same shoes like you.

Be proud, and by the way, we have very similar tastes. I owned several Mustangs in the past and my all time favorite car is a Lamborghini countach. I too spent my highschoold days drawing the car and righting essays on Ferrucio himself. I also rented a Countach for my wedding. It cost me 4k for 4 hours. You gotta be sick, right?

I still have a life size picture of the car in my game room downstairs.

Although I own a Ferrari now I still vow to own a Countach sometime in my life.

My ambition quote for my highschool yearbook was, "To own a Lamborghini Countach and a life time supply of gas.".

You da man, you have a beutiful car and it is one of the nicest replicas I have seen.

The Miata based so called ferrari replica is a perfect exsample of them import boys trying to make there honda civic into lambos. Personaly i would rather just build a goddam replica then have an accord with lambo doors or a ceilca with an F40 wing. I have no problems with kitcars its just some of them are terrible. Others are awsome i wish i owned them.

I wouldnt mind building a kitcar at all i mean what other car is going to give you the exotic looks of a Ferrari for under 50k. Cars these days are boring unless you have the big bucks to buy a Ferrari or lambo.

Your car looks friggin sick with the Modena wheels!!!! SWEET!!!!!! Deffinately the coolest Mondial I have ever seen! Thanks for the kind words too. I wasn't directing my statement to "all" the Ferrari/real exotic owners on this board, just to a select few, but words are words and I don't take too much too serious. Since you are a Mustang fan too, take a look at my latest project. It has taken about a year from ground up abd I'm about ready to turn the key. copy/paste the link: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4287078905

He he, this thread does still march on Solipsist, lol! I havn't poked my head in F chat for about a month but today I did and noticed this thread was recient on the board. I don't think it will ever end because there are some crappy replicas running around, even if I'm in that category somewhere, lol. :D

Ok then can you name a normal production car that will get the looks of a Ferrari or Lambo replica for under 50K?

No WRX or EVO isnt going to cut it.

    Your kiding right?
All of those cars dont deliver the same exotic looks as a Lamborghini or Ferrari i see to many of them driving on a daly basis, the hnday tubron is the only car that could possbly do that for under 30k.

Theres to many 350z and G35s. RX8s arent exotic because theres like 5 of them were ever i go. the new Mustang is basicly the same from the prevous model except the front of the car is the only thing that seams diffrent. The C6 Corvette looks like a normal C5 with after market headlamps. I dont see that many crossfires so it could be exotic.

Driving a replica is like wearing a fake Rolex. Its simply sleazy. Driving a 350z, G35, RX8, Corvette is like wearing a timex. It does the same thing, better sometimes, but not as flashy.

In short, replica = trash, and if someone wants to get their looks by driving pretty looking trash, well thats their own thing.

I couldnt call a replica trash it beats building Honda civic in style. Not to mention if you want performance factoryfive build cobra replicas for around 35k and they will out perform a C5 Z06 and pretty much all the cars you listed.

Is that a Fiero replica based on a Ferrari chassis?

No a replica does not beat a Honda Civic in style. It is destroyed by a Honda Civic in style. A Honda Civic is honest, a replica is a lie.

Not everything I've said will apply to all circumstances. I can like and respect certain replicas (some Cobras, the Superformance Coupe, Lotus 7s etc..) but the majority of replicas are trash.

Even when it comes to the replicas I respect, I still ask why? When you are going to invest that much time in something create something unique don't make a replica. Something Like the Nova/Eureka/Sebring etc… I expressed so much affection for earlier in this thread. A replica will always be a shadow, not the real thing.

BTW, those fake Rolexes? A lot of the time they're quartz, that means they're actually better at telling time than a real Rolex. Doesn't make them any less sleazy.
