Thanks for the flowers, but clearly repliated. To give you a few pointers: Shape of door is too straight, little sidewindow is missing and wheels are 288 GTOish. It is a work in progress and I'm trying to resolve as many issues as possible. Takes time and money, but hey, that's part of the fun.
What is that based on? Is it a Rowley or McBurnie, etc. What does your interior look like? Is it close to an original?
Based on a 76 Vette. Neither a Rowley nor a McBurnie. Dunno who made the kit, but none of the McBurnie parts would fit. Interior is still a work in progress. It doesn't look like Corvette, but not like a Daytona either. Working on changing that. Seats are already Ferrari (308 with Daytona pattern). Whenever I can replace an existing with an original part, I normally go for it. Just spent a grant going through the tail lights.
You threw me off. Your profile says you own a 308. Old info? As for perfecting it, personally, I would find one you think is perfect and copy it. Copy everything the guy did. Takes a lot of guess work out of it.
I have a 308 and this car, which I refer to as "my other V8". It is really hard to find a Daytona replica these days that is somewhat decent. First off most of them are gone and the ones that are still around lack a lot of details. Also with Ferrari NA clamping down on the replicas, they are really hard to find even when they're for sale. So your strategy might not work. The best cars are from England, but how do you get them here?
No, I wasn't suggesting getting the car here, but merely copying the details. When I did my GTO I copied a magazine article as much as I could. So I think you could work with what you have, but get ideas from an "ideal" one. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here a picture of my friend's Jag based Daytona. It is indistinguishable from the real deal. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great! Now copy his. Looks like it could use a little lowering. You almost can never be too low. Except for practicality purposes.

They should buy it for the next FerrariChat meet. Charge $100 to beat on it for one minute with a baseball bat. There would be a lot of takers!
