    Does anyone have a resource or a guide on crashes for Ferrari automobiles? I have seen so many pictures of wrecked Ferraris that look like nobody could/should have made it out alive. I've seen dented volvos that were multiple-fatality.

    What gives? OR IS this a case of selective attention by myself? Surely it seems to other people that there are a lot of destroyed Ferraris with fewer destroyed human pilots?

    One just assumes that Ferraris are not safe automobiles- perhaps there is something to be said which could be proven/disproven by something more than anecdotal evidence?

    Anecdotal for sure. October 2007 - Maranello - outside the entrance to the Planet Hotel - Had the factory tour that morning - Lunch at Montana and dinner at Cavallino.

    Just before retiring that night went outside for a smoke. Arrived at the same time with an identifiable European - dress, shoes, thin and shorter than me allowed me to make a correct observation. He and I lit up and had a pleasant conversation. He was French and spoke perfect English. We answered the obvious question : What are you doing here? My answer was the factory tour. His answer was that he was a Ferrari supplier there on business. Oh, I asked and what do you supply? His answer: My company crash tests every new Ferrari. We talked for at least 15 minutes on his mission and his company. Before we ended the conversation he told me in a very serious and grave tone - "You know, it really hurts to see a Ferrari crash tested."
