Folks, I ran my Scuderia at my local track and had noise limit issues - WAS (operative word is WAS) thinking of a 430 Challenge car but not sure if I can have an exhaust modified to allow for a lower db level at all - aside from a more restrictive exhaust causing issues re driability/performance/thrwoing codes.

    Thoughts or advice?

Direct the exhaust outlet straight down or away from where the meter is located?

Different tracks have different limits - right now this is a how long is a piece of string type question

Exactly what limit did you fail ?

The real 'crazy but true' aspect is the Challenge has a quieter exhaust according to my recollection

Stock 430 Challenge will be around 85 DB and I know of no track that should have a concern. Yes the Scuderia will louder.

Buy the 355 Challenge we have for sale, it comes with a quiet muffler that we run with at Lime Rock no problem...I assume LRP is the track you had issues with.

Lime Rock yes and Laguna Seca too - more LRP - they have an 87 at 50 feet drive by limit. The Scuderia was in the low and mid 90s....

Thanks for the offer on the 355 Challenge. A great car for sure but I just like the 430 for several, personal reasons. Good luck with the sale.

Boring way is to put the manetino in sport, then you avoid that open exhaust.

At one LRP event we had with FOCNER before we had unmuffled annual events the crew used some empty pineapple metal cans with holes punched in the bottom. Worked for a lap, then blew apart lol

Solution we found is to make your rear bumper come off with dzus fasteners, and get a quiet muffler to swap on for LRP...
