Right in our "backyard"! http://www.click2houston.com/news/Nurse-accused-of-killing-mother-kidnapping-baby-to-appear-in-court/-/1735978/11148212/-/eo9artz/-/index.html
Saw this story yesterday and it made my heart hurt. What is wrong with people? I hate reading the news these days...it feels like these crimes are getting more and more egregious every day. What a sad state of affairs...
Agreed. What is really hard too understand (grasp) is why the lady felt compelled to kill the mother, hopefully she will be awarded a 'first class' ticket to death row. Therein lies another issue, if she is sentenced to death (which she should be) she will likely sit in prison for 10+yrs surviving/living off of us, the tax payers. People like her should be treated like the dog that mauled and killed a child or person, take them behind the shed/garage and......pop goes the weezel, fertilizer. Or just: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qWFhDvURLg[/ame]
I like the woodchipper idea. What a heartbreaker though - the mom spent her last breath trying to get her baby back. I just can't imagine. It makes my heart sink just thinking about it...
My heart ached when I read this, also . . . the mother's dying breath after being shot 7 times was to scream out for her child, and she died unsure of the fate of her child. Such a terrible, terrible thing. The kind of evil it takes to do this is just something that is so many orders of magnitude above robbery and other crimes. Horrendous.
The 2nd truelly disturbing issue (not fact yet) is that the lady's defense attorney will shoot for a "mentally incompetent" plea and if he wins we the tax payers get to support another killer for the rest of their worthless lives.
Even more sad Is the defense: They committed such a spontaneous act to a random person. I hope she gets death.
Here's another f'd up story but this time from Austin... SMH http://www.myfoxaustin.com/dpp/news/Woman-Charged-with-Lighting-Husband-on-Fire-20120419-ktbcw#axzz1sSsVw9aR
Oh my god that is so f'd up. The rest of my opinion is NOT appropriate so I will retain that for myself. I ponder though if she is just mentally disturbed or if he was an abusive husband?
How 'bout a little good news for a change? A little Friday humor to lighten things up a bit. I love stories like this! http://www.khou.com/home/Suspect-killed-while-attempting-to-rob-3-undercover-officers-outside-Lubys--148078825.html
I attempted to post this story yesterday but it was so new a link had not yet been provided. Drugs and the lack of common sense lead one to either wakeup in ICU or they see a "white light/red light calling them home". "I'm making taco's tonight and no one is gonna F with my dinner plans!!"
I had a brush with this kind of thing last year. A guy that hired me and was my boss for 3 years gunned down his wife, her lover, and himself in a hotel room, leaving 2 orphans and 3 other kids without a father.
