I'm 33 years old and I've been married for 6 years. My wife and I have waited to have children because we both worked a lot and we wanted to focus on each other for the first few years of our marriage. On Wednesday night at about 5:00 pm we received a phone call from a women's shelter that asked my wife and I if we would be willing to adopt a three year boy and his 4 year old sister. Their mother couldn't take care of these precious children. My wife and I have never thought about adoption, but God has placed two children that need love into the hands of two people that can give that love. Needless to say, we got the kids friday night. How crazy is that. No time to plan, but God provides. The kids came into the shelter with only the dirty clothes on their back. They have never gone to see Santa, nor have they ever received anything from him. What a special Christmas this will be. We have a lot of family and friends who have been so generous with toys and clothes and LOVE. It's now Saturday morning and what a blessing these children are. Unfortunately, I am going to have to sell my 2000 silver 360 F1. I bought the car 2 years ago with 12,900 miles and it now has 27,200 miles on it. I had the 30k service done last week and new brakes and rotors. I have replaced the clutch and updated the computer chip within the last year. I am hoping to get $110,000 for it, but who knows. I haven't really researched the value as this is still a shock to me. I live in west cobb if anyone wants to see it. I hate to sell it as it is my dream car, but the children are my dream now.

Congrats, what a great Xmas for both you and your wife as well as the kids. You can always get another F-car anyway.

    Merry Xmas!

Congratulations! "Trading" a 360 for two wonderful children sounds like a fair thing to do. Maybe you could buy a Mondial, which should still leave you plenty of money from the sale of your car; then you could still enjoy the Ferrari experience while having a rear seat to take the kids with you.

Congrats! You sound like you're going to make a great father. Don't worry about the cars, they come and go.

What a great Christmas for your family!

Thank you for your kind replies. Alexis is a beautiful brown eyed girl with curly brown hair and David is a blonde hair brown eyed boy- he looks like his new daddy. God is truly awesome. HE has reminded me what Christmas is all about.

What a great thread...! Congratulations...! It sounds like those kids really found a warm, loving, wonderful home in which they'll grow and thrive. You may feel blessed by them, but you and your wife and the true blessing.

Congratulations -- my two daughters are adopted... they came to us when there were 6 and 4, and are now 22 and 20! My youngest is a "car person" and we have a great time doing track events and other car activities together. I wish you a blessed experience!

What a great story. There are some really great people on this FerrariChat site. I hope all is good with the kids. The best thing that ever happened to me was my son. I only regret that I waited so long to have him. The fact that you came to the rescue of two children in need is awesome. May God bless you and your new family.

Make sure you get pictures of the kids in the Ferrari. That way you can remember them together. Don't worry about the Ferrari. Good things are going to happen for you. There will be another Ferrari.

I have included a picture of my son and an older 308 I had a couple of years ago. We should start a thread with pic of our kids n cars.
