I've been watching the weather closely and part of me really wants to take the '16 California T to Vegas this weekend for the Super bowl. I'm not putting that many miles on it the last few years, and this weekend seems like a great opportunity to drive with a friend.
    • Highway 1 had some mudslides, so this would be highway 5 to Bakersfield, Barstow, then 15 to Vegas.
    • How is valet, parking, traffic going to be in Vegas this weekend?
    • I've never driven more than 8 hours with the California. Anything to keep an eye on for the longer drive? I think opening it up a bit on 5 is going to be good for it given the low mileage this year (especially winter).
Earlier flight plans changed so its either this or finding a last minute United or Southwest flight and taking Ubers in Vegas.

    Any thoughts?

Hotels and limos all booked. Most restaurants too but perhaps you already have hotel and restaurant reservations?
It's going to be a zoo.

Yea, booked the hotel a month ago and made restaurant reservations last night. Just have been torn on flying private, flying commercial, or driving the California.

Honestly just do it. A memorable, fun adventure and it's a bit cooler than flying. Plus it gets some much-needed exercise, haha.
