CREAKY F430

Same......visit your dealership and have it torqued.

 

Check out the threads on the CS creaking noise. Probably the suspension bolts/bushings......... Need to be tightened and/or lubricated. But, of course, have your dealer check it out!!!

 

Mine did it for quite a while. Last service, I mentioned it. They found it was the suspension. Some new lube cured it. Don't know if it will be back or not.

the creaking on my '05 430 came from the dashboard area.Was especially loud when starting out in the AM when going up or down a slight incline.Was greatly improved by the dealership taking the dash apart and lubricating.

and change the muffler bearings while you're at it.

 

I have seen a few F430 with creaking rear anti-roll bar bushings. We pull them and lube them and noise goes away.
Does the noise get louder/worse as the car is driven more??
Interior noises, leather/plastic we fix with a Mercedes product called "waxlit" (i can get thept# if anyone needs it), it was developed to stop roof creaks on there roadsters roof seals, works great on all sorts of interior pannel noises.

 

Not to steal away this thread, but does anyone else experience a creaking sound when the brake pedal is depressed? On my June 07 430 with
2000 miles, it creaks everytime I step on the brakes. My ferrari tech guy says that it is the brake cable stretching on a new car and after it runs
in with a bit more mileage, they can tighten it. Does this sound right?

Brake cable....!!!! You must have a prototype F430, mine utilizes hydraulic brake fluid and a hydraulic system containing pistons.

 

.........that's expensive.

I had a simmilar issue with my Toyota. It was the spring attached to the brake pedal under the dash. Each time I pressed the brakes, the spring would stretch & make a creaking noise. Lube on the spring solved the problem. I don't know if your car has a spring on the brake pedal, but you should check & lube.

I heartily second what Ferraritech said, I had creaking noises in my 430 where the dash leather contacted the A frame pillars, also where the door leather panels touch the door body where they wrap around the rolled edges of the interior panel. Waxilit cured them, instantly.

Mercedes supplies a shop chemical named "Waxilit 22-54" to solve similar creaks in seal related problems. Mercedes P/N A 000 989 26 58, made by Acmos Chemi GMBH, Bremen. Killer stuff on squeak related issues. Works incredibly well on seal related issues too, such as whistles and wind noise. WD40 and other light oils migrate through surfaces and are not suitable, this sauce is essentially a fluid wax, the carrier evaporates and leaves the wax, lubricating the surfaces. The wax lasts for years inside the cabin, no exaggeration.

The idea is not to saturate the seam where leather touches leather or leather touches metal, one drop is plenty, use a hypo and squirt one drop between the surfaces about 2" behind the face, the continued friction will move the glop around enough to solve the problem. On seals, just lightly lube the surface and wipe off.

BTW, you can by this sauce at the local MBZ dealer, I have a liter of it, enough for a sixteen lifetimes, anyone want some ?

PS - The way to find squeaks is to have your (loyal) assistant drive, while you listen and PUSH on panels, keep a log, focus on one squeak at a time and note the areas that change the squeak, etc. Now go figure out the seams involved and lube away ! You can buy a 6 microphone squeak locater, but that's over the top . I prefer the "leak detection assistant" ..
