    I charged a $2000 item on my credit card. I received the cc bill with the $2000 item on the 1st of the October and the bill is due on the 15th. I returned the item on the the 5th. Will there be finance charges if I don't pay the for the $2000 item on the bill because I already returned it?

    Call your credit card company. Use the telephone.

    I was going to say thanks for the helpful response (sarcasm), but I took your advice and called the credit card company. Thankfully this time I got service rep Jane actually from the USA and I was able to understand her explanation. Best of all Jane and I are going out Saturday night.


    The answer is no finance charge if the return process went through with the CC, that is if I don't have a balance outstanding.

    Yea I was joking about the Saturday night part, she is coming over tonight.
