Just a brief note to announce 2008 registration will open this month. We will accept alumni first, referrals from alumni next and every attempt will be made to accept new participants but space is exremely limited so early registration is a great idea.

We have nothing but great news this year, all of our previous sponsors are returning with some new sponsors wanting to participate.

As alumni know, unlike most events, each year is different with Crescent Classic, every year is a new event being shared with old and new friends.

Last year involved private car collections and an incredible airplane collection, but less driving than previous years. Accept this as your warning, 2008 is VERY, VERY different!

As inspired by the first year of the Crescent Classic, this year is a "driver's" year! Our resident road expert Thomas Achord gave me some clues and I took it from there!

Let me just say that the drive this year is the most beautiful, the longest, the most exciting and the most challenging we have ever offered! I literally went through a set of pads and rotors on my new Ranger Rover Sport half way through the initial drive and had to enlist SCCA D Production champion Chris Brannon (who happened to live close by) to rescue me and complete the drive (thanks Chris!).

A month later we drove it in a new CLK 63 AMG Black Edition and could not believe how much fun it was! For those that have experienced the Pig Trail, this route makes the Pig Trail feel as straight as a runway! (No kiddding!)

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT TIME IN 2008!

    See you soon,

    Chris Parr
    Crescent Classic Chairman

    Count me in for sure!
This event is an absolute blast and will be on my calender each and every year. I only wish there were two each year....waiting over the summer sucks. The amount of work that is put into this event to make it top notch is clearly evident which is why I can easily understand that there is only one each year. Looking forward to it already!

Couldn't agree more. People have no idea what they are missing out on (i.e. SpecTrader, formerly Tom F-1)! Count me in, I'll definitely be there!

Chris, I can't wait! The Sunday morning F1 watch party should be fun too! (And that's saying a lot... I am most definitely not a morning person!) :)

    Crescent Classic 2008...

It is hard to believe this is the fifth Crescent Classic!

The best things in life start with great friends, great cars and great roads, and this year the roads and driving are really what this year’s event is all about!

This event has turned into a reunion of friends returning each year to enjoy the fun, the food, the cars and the beautiful Arkansas scenery….

Due to the generosity of our sponsors, the price is the same as previous years, but with even more events than last year!

As in year’s past, The 1886 Crescent Hotel is the host hotel for our event. (www.crescent-hotel.com)

    Crescent Hotel & Spa , 75 Prospect Ave , Eureka Springs AR 72632 (877) 342-9766

For well over a century visitors have been traveling to this unique Ozark Mountain locale in search of adventure, healing and relaxation.

Since 1886 the legendary Crescent Hotel & Spa has been welcoming guests through its doors offering comfort, elegance and genuine hospitality.

This tradition continues today by providing modern conveniences they have come to expect coupled with the time honored amenities, charm, comfort and services they will always appreciate.

DRESS CODE. We have a VERY strict dress code during this event! Proper attire for ALL events: Jeans and a casual shirt, NO ties, NO Sport Coats, No Fancy Dresses, No kidding... We are here to relax and have fun, look nice but please be casual! Ladies, comfortable walking shoes are recommended, the sidewalks in Eureka are rugged and steep, you will not be happy in heels!

The temperatures will most likely be mild during the day, usually in the mid-80's and nights are usually cool this time of year with lows in the 60's, so a jacket at night might be a good idea.

This event is not just for the guys, there are some very nice shops and spas in Eureka Springs and some nice art galleries, you will be impressed with what you find in Eureka’s shops downtown...

The Crescent Hotel has an excellent spa, THE NEW MOON SPA (www.newmoonspa.com). You should book your spa appointment before you leave for Eureka Springs!

The roads around Eureka Springs are in very good condition, but this area is not called Little Switzerland for nothing, some streets will be too steep for your sports car. Stay on the main streets and you will not have any problems.
