Wow this looks in bad shape needs a lot of work I think 50k would bring it back to a nice 328. How can it be so abused after 46k miles

$50Gs for what you can see. Do you think for just a moment that all that is wrong is what can be seen?

So even if you are correct. For 50Gs you can have a nice 328. But then every second you have spent on it you get zero value for.
Or you can just spend the money up front, have a great car you are out enjoying instead of slaving over in your garage.

The lack of undercarriage photos is not encouraging (considering surface rust present on hood).

They're about 30 grand high on that one. Maybe 20 if you use it as a parts car.

It has serious rust at the RR corner of the engine cover, a kinked front hood and bubbling along the bottom of both doors. At some point body wise you have to wonder what its value is as even a parts car. I am betting the bottom of it is nasty.

i have try to deal with them (gullwing) many times. some of their cars are potentially nice cars. But their prices are just way too high. i dont know where they find their cars - some of them are so far gone, that to call them parts cars would be generous.

I bought a really nice one and just finished putting 18K into it to make it fully functional again. Finally fixed everything. These things get more expensive than you think really fast.

    BTW: worth every penny....

Maybe it my imagination but the red doesn't appear to be matching between the door and the rear 1/4 panel.

Has to be a "flipper" repaint for the difference in condition between the exterior and the engine bay and interior (and the RH door fit looks terrible). Unfortunately, 308/328 are getting old enough to become tarted-up flipper scams like those that appear frequently on US muscle cars at Kiwi Classics and Customs on YouTube. (Which I can recommend watching -- guy does some fabulous and serious chassis/unibody reconstruction/restoration work. Wish I lived closer to TN).

Painted lower valances ("bumper") and sills can be a result of a respray from someone who hasn't bothered to mask the car off properly, or didn't realise those areas should be black ,but they can also be from an owner who simply preferred the colour coded look.

It's similar to when you see 3*8's with the rear lights the wrong way around (tail lights/brake lights on the outside / indicators/reverse lights on the inside) - Sometimes it's because the lights were removed to repaint the car and have simply been refitted in the wrong place, sometimes it's because someone has misunderstood legislation, and sometimes it's simply because an owner thinks it looks better or is safer - It's not automatically a sign of something sinister.

I love that guy on Kiwi Customs. It's insane the crap flippers try (and do I guess) get away with. I saw one where someone stuck cardboard in the corner of a front clip on a '67 Mustang. They painted it black to look like steel... it was completely rotted.

I don't know how people like that can live with themselves but... yeah love the channel

+1 -- I like his format a lot. He explains the problem, what he is going to do about it and why, and shows some of it, but not every boring detail of every step -- so you can see and understand how a very major project done in just a 10~15 minute video. Of course, it can give you a warped sense of reality for just how much work is involved ;).

That's true if it was a beautiful car with an isolated issue like those two you mentioned, but when the car has a raft of issues it doesn't bode well to indicate it's overall maintenance and condition.

+1. Not a fan of the US market side marker lamps at all. When it pops to the top of my project list, they’ll be removed and the blinkers/taillights swapped in the rear to maintain a semblance of side marker functionality.

+1 -- The flush style side marker lights on US TR are so much better looking. Since they developed both models about the same time frame, it surprises me that 328 still have the protruding zit style.
