They cost too much in my opinion. For about $200 more you can repaint.

That is what I do.......those 'covers' start to look dull and dingy after a little while. The paint always looks shiny even if it has tiny speckle chips in it !

sounds like quite a trip - please post pics when your left leg stops cramping!

I did 2,000 miles in my longest trip last year - lots of fun. Looking for excuses for this summer. So far biggest trip I can justify is about 7,000 miles round trip :)

Okay, I'm attaching some photos... sorry but I ended up having a cold/flu the entire drive, so no epic shots of America here.

Yep! Occasionally, a gas station attendant saw me parked long enough to catch a more in-focus look.

Nice to see people driving their cars extensively.

I did a 1700 mile trip some months back when I bought my car. I was amazed to find out that the 348 is a pretty comfy cruiser. The seats are nicely supportive, decent luggage space (er... for a single guy), torquey engine which means you dont need to continuously downshift to overtake, the heater and a/c are effective, and superb visibility.

My car didnt suffer any problems even though it was parked outside in sub 30 degree weather at night. The 348s are built like tanks.

People stop & stare everywhere. I couldn't be this popular in Los Angeles unless I drove a Diablo on fire!

Are we talking about the same car here? LOL My back & neck still hurt from lack of bolster support, and the lack of armrests really becomes apparent. But that is me... I'm skinny & bony.

Thank you! I was going to put the stock rims on for the drive, but realized these Speedlines seem to weigh less than HALF of stock :)
