He may have been in violation of cross posting, and there may have been some commercial undertones to that post, but the post was also offering a chance to young folks who want to get a little real world experience in sales. Had to shut him down temporarily so we could keep up. He was creating new threads faster than we could delete them. He was up to 16 when I placed the ban on his account.
That's putting it lightly. Do you really want everyone here that's trying to expand their business posting 'opportunities?' Sure PeterS is ok, but what of the next MLM guru or Motel VI incarnation?

The difference is Pete actually runs a legitimate business and it was a legitimate offer. I know it's not easy to moderate this forum. A mod's gotta do what a mod's gotta do. I'm not attacking the mods, I'm defending Pete.
Dave, a single commercial post might be (somewhat) excuseable, but spamming 16 different forums? Still blows my mind that he doesn't see anything wrong with that move.

LOL - I talked to Peter by email at lunch. Wayne did the right thing, when you see 16 forums posted to that quick, you don't know where it will stop. Shut his account down and email him offline, Wayne handled it perfectly. We'll give Peter the benefit of the doubt, but most users, especially long time users know you aren't supposed to cross post even 2-3 times, much less 16+. Sponsors aren't even allowed to do that. As far as the content of the post, I didn't look carefully, but I'm sure it is something that can be both commercially beneficial to Peter and FerrariChat.com users. The appropriate place for that would be subscribed forum since he isn't a sponsor, but I wouldn't have too many problems with it in B&I. So I informed Peter I didn't have that many problems with the content, but just the shotgun posting. He should be fine with that, even as an experienced user I know things can slip your mind. Peter's true intentions are to help other FC'ers make some money. No big deal. Here is the funny part and to honor Peter's request he feels that most users will support his mass posting of this thread. So there is now a poll here whether posting this thread to 16+ forums is acceptable to our community? Don't consider it a commercial post, that is debatable, give him the benefit of the doubt it was only for other FC'ers to make money and for no personal commercial gain.
