hi, has anybody put cruise control on a mondial or similar if so how does it go?
All Mondials have cruise, it kicks in when the floor mats slip forward and push on the accelerator pedal Secure your mats, several threads here on how to do it, I used $15 Ferrari cufflinks from Ebay and white zip ties secured to the seat bolts. Alden
The floor mats on many cars can, and do move forward and push the gas pedal down and hold it there! Ask Toyota (big lawsuit) and now EVERY Toyota receipt has a warning. Regarding Mondial's - I experienced an immediate 7000 rpm potential disaster once when I started the car. I suspected throttle linkage at engine, then put my head under steering wheel to look at gas pedal. Shocked to see floor mat covering pedal completely. No floor mat for me! Just joking about using it for cruise, but it does happen. If your car suddenly starts idling at 2000 RPM, check your mats. Alden
