    Wanted to post here as a reminder. I know some of you from F-Chat already know about this from the local Austin board but wanted to post it up in case any others are interested in coming out to mingle. This will be taking place THIS saturday (23rd) at the "Y" in Oak Hill around 4-4:30. Let me know if you want details. There are other cars that may be going as well, but not confirmed.

    Just an F.Y.I...

    If y'all venture over to the Hill Country Galleria off Bee Caves & 620 on a "cruise" on Saturday (January 23rd, '10), there is a very large sports-car/enthusiast gathering there w/ 100's of various makes/models. It's schedule for 5-8pm & features light refreshments, along w/ after-party in downtown. Turn-out should very good & the group does a very good job organizing.

    This is where we are heading. We are meeting at the "Y" first. I misunderstood your response at first, but yea, we are going to that meet but not sure how long we will stay.

    Jim, this an Import car meet going on at the Hill Country Galleria, that will be populated a younger crowd. I told the organizer I would get some cars to come up there to check it out, so I organized a meet at the "Y" on the local austin exotic board. I didn't expect much of a response but folks want to get out and meet up for some reason, so that's why I posted it here on F-Chat. The list of cars I posted above are the people going from the board I set up last month. There may be even more cars meeting up at the "Y", because there was a bit of talk about it, at a cruise I was on this past Sunday. The main goal is to meet at the "Y" and mingle for a bit, then cruise out to the meet and check it out. I can't see us staying for a very long time, so we will probably all head out to enjoy a nice evening cruise.

    -Frog-... that's an awesome list of smorgasbord of makes/models! Nice job. I look fwd to seeing 'em all at the Hill Country Galleria this Saturday evening. There will be perhaps a dozen of us from the NSX group (along w/ some friends w/ S2000's, RS4, '10 Camaro SS, etc') arriving there 4.30pm & staying thereabouts for a bit, w/ some coming & going (from San Antonio / Killeen, etc'). . .

    Haha, so cool, a friend was telling me all about this Cupcake Meet. I heard you guys got shut down by the cops because of the drunk lady, who the cops said got hit by a car.

    My buddy was in a black 335i coupe with a carbon fiber CSL coupe, and had a camera mount on the car. I'll put a link to the video when he's done with it.

    Looking forward to more picture :)

    I saw this brewing first-hand, and perhaps may have been a complacent/unintentional witness... :D

    Mid-way through the meet, a group of my friends ventured over to Zingers sports-bar/restaurant nearby. I told them I'd meet them later. So, a bit later I walked over to the bar/restaurant & opened the front-door & this slim/worn old lady (late 40's) stumbles out all startled/jumpy. Def' sauced up. Perhaps even wacked-out. A lot. I just shake my head & walk-in to meet my friends.

    Then later, perhaps a half-hour later we all walk back to the garage/lot area of the meet, only to see an EMT vehicle & fire-truck along w/ a handful of police cars clearing the road between the two main parking garages. I see the aforementioned slim/worn old lady being attended to by a few EMT's, she was standing (barely) & they were using gauze on her hands/forearms.

    I had a gut feeling she was gonna cause some incident, the way she waddled/limped out of that sports-bar. Damnit. It's all my fault.


    Anywayz... def' an interesting meet, all sorts of vehicles ranging from exotics to tuner/imports to domestic muscle to low-riders to whatever else exists! A bit too big for my preference, but well organized & well run (relatively speaking, as there were no incidents of any kind reported or observed).

    yeah not everyday you see a r33 and r34 skyline in the same place. some of those nissan cubes were definitely out there. That white '10 camaro looked good too. Had fun thanks for putting this together.

    Haha, my buddy has it all on tape, they were talking to the police officers and the lady just collapsed, like few feet from them. Glad she didn't get to drive.

    Although the cupcake meet wasn't really my kind of thing, I'm glad I went. It's cool to see other folks enjoying their cars. Thanks Frog for organizing this event. In my mind I envisioned our cars driving through the parking garage setting off alarms.

    Meeting at the Y. We had a diverse group of really nice cars there. I had more fun at this meeting than at the cupcake gathering. :lol:
