Was getting ready to winterize the TR and over squezzed the gas nozzle and it ran down over the paint. Quickly wipped it off and when I got back home wipped the surface with car detailer spray and then waxed with Maguiars Polish.The rag looked awfully "rossa corsa" Any chance the gas damaged the paint ?
Probably not. The red piant on your rag is because your car is single stage paint. Not 2 stage (base coat / clear coat). The acrylic is pretty tough. If you wiped it up right away you should be fine. How did it look after you polished? If looking good - forget about the incident and burn thru that tank of gas my friend. Hopefully some other members can add there thoughts as well. Be well Robbie
