Jorden..again I loved your pictures. What a great area that is there!! Every week beautiful car meetings!! Hope to be there once...perhaps in the near future!
Go wash your mouth out with soap, Mr. "look better in person." Try as I might, save for 350, 400 - (even with their froggy headlights and 'cuda-windows) and the Islero - which I like, I just can't get into the majority of Lamborghini's output. Kit-car looks for oh-so-long, then the Diablo looks like a person hunched over a toilet at that moment of critical mass, just as the back arches for another round of retching. Murcielago looks like a series of afterthoughts added on, Gallardo - afterthoughts to remove bits and pieces. Either way, bilious - and may very well look as dated as the substantial majority of their older siblings. What's the deal with #7? Just needs some chi-chi dingleberries. The Ferrari's, on the other hand, date well. Nice pics.
wax, LOL!!! That has to be the best/funniest description of Lamborghinis EVER! Though I dont like them as much as Ferraris (with the exception of the Miura), they arent the worst cars in the world in my book. I appreciate all exotics...just moreso with Ferrari #7 btw is soem sort of camaro boat car thing.
Nice pictures again, Jordan! The 360 with the black wheels looks like the one that was up here in the Seattle area last year. The owner moved back to CA, so that might be the same car. Did it have a lot of aftermarket electronics inside (LCD displays, rearview camera, etc)? The scoop I got was that the owner originally bought it from Newport Autosport before coming up to Seattle. That Gallardo looks tiny next to the 360. Nice to see a SWB out and about once in a while. There are many great cars like that up here, but we almost never have them on our drives.
Thanks Willis! Actually I think that must be the same 360. This one did have a lot of funky aftermarket things in the interior. Do you remember the weird carbon fiber rear grill as well?
Nice pictures Jordan! It definaltley wasn't as big of a turnout as last week. Do you think it may have been because of the rules they handed out lastweek. Still want to see a Gallardo in person.
fantastic pictures! Nice to see that somewhere people aren't shivering. Couple questions. Where exactly is crystal cove and is it a mini mall? I was out in la last year. Why does it start so early in the morning in darkness? T
Jordan, thank you as always for sharing the photos. I too wondered what the heck was going on with picture/car #7. Camero/boat thing??? I wonder what he was thinking (if at all) and why he would want to display that wildebeast. One could come up will all sorts of names for it! A Gweedo Speedo Torpedo?(kidding!!!! just kidding! I could not resist). Thanks again. -Jay.
Great pics! Thanks. Thanks for also being my co-pilot! The highlight of my day was being able to meet a fellow Blue 328 owner! Nice to finally meet you Aug! Was also nice to see that blue 348 - Thanks for coming down JL. Was also good to talk to DES for the 1st time.
Yes, It a strip center/Mini mall across the street from a State beach. It is about 5 miles south of Newport on Pacific Coast Hwy. These things start early and end early for 2 reasons. Mainly the Center does not want all their parking taken up by a couple of hundred people hanging around. There is a StarBucks and a Breakfast shop that do real well there. Most people leave before 9:30 (as the stores are opening) and get home to their families to enjoy the rest of the weekend. There is a Donut Shop about 10 mile north in Huntington Beach that does the same thing. More Hot Rods there. By 9:00 the place is empty. Rick
Wow! What a trip! It was great to meet everyone at the Cove on Saturday. Thank you to Jerry, Jordan, Lou, John, Dino, and everyone else that made me feel so welcome. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to come back out again. Now I'm back in Jersey which is covered in a sheet of ice! To top it all off, I got to see the Eagles losing from the air last night upon my arrival back in Philly. I think I've had enough of this place. You guys might have a new SoCal resident soon! Not that you need any more, right? Again, thank you all! -Augustine
Must be tough leaving this weather & head back to the snow! Another tough year for the Eagles - They just can't make it over that last hurdle into the superbowl. We can always use another blue 328 here in so cal!!!
