This was posted in the socal forum, but htran asked me to post it here as well.

I had an awesome day today hanging out with F-Chatters at the Crystal Cove car show and the FDC brunch/drive. I got to put a lot of names to faces and finally got to meet some of the people I'd been chatting with. Special thanks to Henry (htran) for giving me a fantastic Ferrari experience. Not only did he let me ride along in his 512M, but he let me drive it! What a guy!

Well, here's what you've all been waiting for. I took over 400 pictures today at Crystal Cove and St. Regis. I've put the best ones into two galleries:

Hopefully soon enough. I'm going to be working on doing something early spring @ my store in the Tri-valley Area. I will update through out the winter.

Hey Drew I've also had the opportunity to ride in the F512M & to drive the F355 Spider. Very nice. Henry is like no other.

I was down there, in the hot seat...fastautos, it was nice to meet you! Thanks for all the pics.

    Henry,
thanks for lending me your cars! I very much appreciate it. The 512 is surprisingly easy to drive. And your friend's GT3 is a fun toy, but I'd prefer an F-car any day! Thank god I slowed down when I did, as there was a motorcycle cop staked out just over the crest of the hill, and a bright red Ferrari screaming by at full song is kinda hard to miss.

I gotta say, though Crystal Cove was nice and all, nothing beats the driving roads we have in the Bay Area. We are seriously blessed, and need to enjoy these roads more.

I set up a few drives earlier this year, and then lost interest. But I have got the "groove" back and will set up some more. Look for posts in this section.

todd, let me know where your store is and I will try to have us swing by.

    :)

I was thinking the same thing, we've lost 'the touch' as of late!

PS: Henry's a class act, he let me flog^H^H^H^H drive his Elise.

hey guys - I'm glad some of you made it down for the event... the drive afterwards was lots of fun - about 25 of us went to the backroads of Santiago Canyon and had some fun! :)

Faisal, Henry - I was talking to PeterS about setting up a North meets South early next spring... how 'bout we make this happen?

I think the idea was to meet somewhere in between... say Pismo, rent out an entire hotel, and have a weekend of driving! :)

Let me know if you guys are up for this,

Yes, good idea. I was thinking that a drive to Hearst Castle would be nice.

I think 2005 would be a fine year for that! :)
