    Costa Verde Shopping Center is good--that's what, 3 or 4 miles south of Del Mar?
    But rain is forecast for the 9th.
    How about Sunday the 16th?

    Guys,

    I was going to wait for Alberto to posts the info. However, due to new posts of having the meet held at Costa Verde, I decided to post the info here now. I'll also post it up as a new thread. I apologize for the double posting.

    Keep in mind that this event was not organized to compete with CC. It is simply a get together for owners that are too lazy to get up and drive the extra 60 mile to get to CC. As noted, we will try to make this meet as a monthly event. We can also discuss whatever changes we need to make to attract attendees.



    San Diego Exotic Car Meet

    If you know about the Crystal Cove Saturday morning car meet in Newport Beach, we are trying to create a similar event in San Diego.

    Bring your car to the Carlsbad Outlet Mall, south side parking lot
    near Starbucks, January 29th starting at 7:00am for an informal and
    free car-guy get together. Swing by, bring your car, come see what
    beautiful cars show up and meet their owners. We hope to attract
    Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Hot Rods, Antique Vehicles, but all
    cars are welcomed. We hope to make this a recurring monthly event so
    please, we have to make sure everyone behaves like a gentleman, no
    burnouts, no drag racing or any kind of exhibition of speed.

    Directions:
    From the Los Angeles Area:
    Interstate 5 South, exit Palomar Airport Rd. and turn left to head
    East. 1/2 block east of I-5, turn left at the first stop light onto
    Paseo del Norte.

    From San Diego:
    Interstate 5 North, exit Palomar Airport Rd. and turn right to head
    East. 1/2 block east of I-5, turn left at the first stop light onto
    Paseo del Norte.

    Now I'm really confused. I thought this was going to be a Sunday event to NOT compete with Crystal Cove. Is it Saturday or Sunday?

    This weekends meet is set for Saturday. We can discuss next months meet on Saturday. We can decided then if we want to continue the monthly Saturday or even make it Sunday weekly. As for this weekend, let's stick with Saturday as it would be to late and too confusing for people to change it to Sunday.

    The other dates that had been suggested before the rains were all Sundays, no (ben, lj, Sting, sdd, markymark360f1)? Just out of curiosity, how many people who are going to attend would have gone to CC if this wasn't happening? Now everyone has to choose and it seemed like earlier, most wanted the option of doing both.

    Before even this meet was posted in the Lambo and Ferrari board, we already had 10 Lambos and Ferraris signed up for the meet. Six of those guys were not available for the 30th (Sunday). I apologize, if this is conflicting with this weekends CC. I'm sure CC would not miss 3-4 cars that joins us on Saturday.

    I went to CC last Saturday and it was pretty cool. But I think the best benefit is to meet and see other local cars & drivers. CC won't do that, unless you all want to get together for a run up sometime as the San Diego contingency.

    CC took me about 35 minutes from Encinitas - I left at 5:50 or so. That's friggin' EARLY (for a Saturday)! When I go again, I won't go quite so early.

    See you all Saturday. Once the word gets out we'll do as well as CC.
