I am a professional installer of Crystal Guard. It is basically a polymer mixed with glass and flourine fibers to create an invisible protective barrier that withstands more punishment then a normal polymer can take. While it will not substitute a clear bra, it does help in minor stone damage and scratches. I have applied it to about 6 or 7 different cars and have been happy with the results. It definately improves the reflectivity of the paint and makes the surface slick. It also has a long longevity (over 3 years) with proper upkeep. For best results, I would apply the professional version and then top with a white carnuaba wax after a week or so to improve the depth of color. Here are some examples of CG (hope they show up)...

very nice. Which ones are yours? Are you happy with the CG? Is CG better than wax, or is it just an alternative thats almost as good, but requires less time?

What is the best system to use the CG. I noticed someone said to apply white wax a week after the CG. Then how often should it be washed with the maintence kit and have the wax reapplyed?

Waxing is optional. The CG provides a reflective shine as is, the white carnuaba just adds more depth that only a carnuaba can. I am not positive on the maintence kit at this moment, but I beleive it is recommended twice a year tp keep up the coating on the car. Tako can answer more in depth I am sure.

Waxing over the CG sounds like a great idea, since the EX treatment is so expensive, waxing over it is like protecting your investment and if the wax also makes it look better thats a plus to. If I understand the system the right way, you bring it to a CG dealer and have the EX treatment applyed, then you use the CG to keep up the finish. From what I read on the website you should be using it atleast every 3 months, but you can use it as much as you like. My question is that to keep the CG finish up, the maintence kit must have the come in contact with the CG layer, so if you were to wax over the CG layer, the how would you be able to precisly remove only the wax layer so that you would use the maintence kit on the CG layer without removing any CG layer in the process?

I own all cars there except 308.

I don't put any wax over CG myself. I don't like that wax attracts dusts and I am satisfied with how CGed cars look like. And in the show room, all I have to do is blow dusts with air compressor... It has been over 15 months for Murcielago and 24 months for Modena since I applied EX and there is not even an scratch on it. You have to wash them carefully though... Rather than putting wax that weaken the benefit of CG, I would use CG Quick to layer CG to add depth. Once you do EX, CG Quick takes only 1 min addition to the time you need for one car wash.
