I noticed a couple weeks back that when pressing the button on the key fob, the alarm no longer made the chirp sound...the lights still flashed, and it disarmed, but no chirp. At first I didn't think anything of it, but then yesterday, after starting the car, the alarm LED would come on steady and not shut off. I tried turning off the ignition and running through the arm/disarm/restart sequence, but the LED was still on. I was wondering if anyone has run into this type of issue?...or if there's any type of an alarm "reset" sequence that might resolve this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Come to think of it...shortly after picking the car up, I noticed a few odd chirps while driving. I asked the service department if it could possibly be the alarm battery, but where the car was new, that was ruled out. It sounds like that could be the root cause of all of the problems.

    Thanks again for the replies.
