Does anyone have the issue of the carbon fiber in the engine area, air intake... Getting milky looking or faded from heat? Has anyone replaced it or had it refinished. If so can you recommend a place to buy replacements and or referb the current parts. I live in Orange County CA, so hoping for a place on the referb front close to home.

    Looking forward to hearing feedback.

I have the same issue. I think it has to so with 1st gen cf...caused by heat and UV light.

Are you coming out with us to Supercar Sunday tomorrow? Make it up to your wife in the afternoon!

If you can post a few pics or e-mail them to me I may be able to refinish it for you. I have repaired several pieces that have been damaged.

Most of these panels are clear coated with typical car clear coat paint.

Stuff can go away in engine compartments.

Fix is go to a body shop. Have them sand off the old clear coat and recoat them.

Nothing special or unique about it. Just like painting glass or metal.

Do not get conned into spending big bucks because it is carbon fiber. The CF is pretty irrelevant to all of this.
